The Ioniq5 is an amazing car! We get great mileage on the battery. It drives smoothly and beautifully.

We absolutely love the Ioniq5! It handles beautifully, has a spacious interior, and fast pick up. We love the safety features. We love that we can choose some features to use and others not to use - like the lane assist cruise control - we don't have the lane assist on because we prefer not to use it, but love that we can use it if we want it.

First year and already have issue

Had the vehicle for one year exactly and lost power due to 12 volt. Took 4 hours for Hyundai to pick it up. Waiting over a week to get it fixed due to parts and I have no transportation. Dealer had no loaners.

Happy camper

Overall we’re very satisfied with the car. We’ve enjoyed it and have received many compliments from random strangers. It measured up to what we expected with no serious issues. After one year and 20k miles it’s been a pleasant experience for our first all electric vehicle. As time goes by I’m sure everyone will come to realize the value on owning an EV.

Best EV car value in market

Best value for best performance car of its class. Very smooth and comfortable driving. Charging and mileage are very good. I recommend this car for anyone willing to reduce gas emissions and save life on earth

Too unreliable

A/c died in the first 4 months of ownership. A/c is also weak in general and never gets cold enough. Climate controls are not intuitive. Then car died altogether at month 11. Been waiting on repair parts for over 30 days now with no eta.

excellent experience

There is not much to complain about except for the navigation routing experience, which is bad. Other than that the comfort, quiet, roomy, driving experience have all been great. I am retired and I look for reasons to get into my car to drive. The only draw back is the USA charging network needs a lot of work. I have not yet gone on a long trip, and I worry about finding a working charger in my route.

Pretty car. Range only OK

The driving experience of the ioniq 5 is lovely and I get complements of the appearance from strangers. The range and charging speed both fall short of what was advertised. I am happy but not blown away.

Love the car but cannot get replacement ICCU.

Looks great, rides great, roomy and comfortable. Driving experience is very satisfying and home charging system make charging a breeze. Car is less than 1 year old but now at dealership over 30 days awaiting ICCU to replace.

I all had was problems getting this car to charge and never gets full range or full charge. We bought to the dealer 3 times snd the problem never gets fixed, it hurt makes us more stress and loose our time

We love the Ioniq 5. We get a lot of compliments on it. We just wish it had a rear windshield wiper.

Overall, this is a great car. It's easy to drive, has great features on it, it's quiet and fast when you need it to be. I would like the mileage range to not fluctuate so much depending on the weather.

Fun to drive, fast charging, unique style and roomy!

The Ioniq 5 is the best looking EV out there that’s so fun to drive, comes with 2 years free charging, great battery range and comfy & roomy inside. There’s no other car out there except maybe a Rivian that I’d rather have. Only one downside is the turning radius as it’s difficult to park and make U-turns. I can park my Kia Sorrento easily in tight spaces compared to the Ioniq. Overall a spectacular EV that I’m proud to drive and feel extra “cool” in.

One-Year in...

I have had my Ioniq 5 for a year, overall I am very satisfied. I like the battery range and I especially like the speed that the car will charge at the fast chargers. I often see other brands of cars that are getting much less kw/h than I am getting with my IONIQ. The major drawback for this car is that there is no rear wiper. The dirt builds up SO quickly on the rear window and when it rains or if it is dirty, it is often impossible to see out of the rear window. Hyundai needs to add a rear wiper to future versions of this car or change the aero dynamics so that you can safely see out both the front and the back of the car.

Love it!!

I am so happy I made the choice to pick this as my first EV car. It charges fast using a 150 kw charger. It’s comfortable, quiet, feels like you’re driving a stick of butter. Fast but feel safe. Feel safe driving in rain, have not driven it in snow yet. The sound system is great. Spacious.

Overall a terrific vehicle. Styling is eye catching, very quiet and comfortable. The numerous amenities are not immediately intuitive for operation. Even the cruise control setup requires reading the manual. If one hates reading operating manuals, this is not the car for you.

I’ve had this vehicle for a year and have not had any problems. Dealership did one software update with first service. Range has been 270 miles with 80% charge. Takes approximately 48 hours to charge from 20% to 80%.

Excellent EV that has all the bell and whistle

Excellent EV that has all the bell and whistle. However lacks rear windshield wiper and Bluetooth carplay. Dealerships are difficult to work with. I had discussed extensive details prior to arrival to the dealership. They change the narrative and essentially scam me thousands on top knowing that I had limited options given my immediate needs. Would not recommend.

Happy with car by I think Hyundai could have done better

Overall, I appreciate having purchased this car: 1. ride is very comfortable 2. acceleration is good (0 to 60) 3. handling is great 4. I like the look. However, I feel that the quality control was not where it should be for the price of the car. We had to pay an added $5,000 over MSRP along with a few thousand in "dealer add ons". a. Car does not always charge as scheduled. I've had several occasions when the car was scheduled to charge, but did not. There have also been occasions when it starts to charge then abruptly stops even though it was supposed to charge to 80% SOC. b. USB data port (necessary for Apple CarPlay) intermittently cuts in and out making CarPlay unusable. c. Although I love the color on the car, digital teal, the paint quality seems poor as it scratches way too easily.

So smooth, quiet, and convenient.

The brake system is amazingly soft comparing with other vehicles. Noise is even less than Tesla for sure. Fast charging speed is fantastic. When you hear some music, you will feel like that you are in a studio or in a theater. I've heard so many compliments from everywhere I went to. They saw and asked me how I liked my Ioniq 5. I love it for sure.
