Love the convenience features but towing was disappointing

After two years of ownership, we had an oil pan leak, covered under warranty. It took a couple of times taking it back into the dealer for them to fix the issue. Red McCombs is not my favorite dealer but they are closest to my home. I was disappointed that a towing truck didn’t have the hitch included. The dealer couldn’t provide much information on using it to tow. I called HQ and they didn’t provide any clarifying information either. We purchased it anyway because I’m a 4 car Hyundai customer. It towed our small motorcycle trailer and Harley Classic great on our vacation out west 4k miles roundtrip with no issues. I do wish the 360 bird view was available for the vehicle. More recently it seems to idle a little high. It will be due for service in another 600 miles so will see if Red McCombs can fix that issue. The backseat is not made for adults. If you have small children it will be fine. An audial wouldn’t be able to travel comfortably from San Antonio to Austin. As expensive as it was you would think the front passenger seat controls would be electric they are not. I picked the Santa Cruz over the Toyota because of the safety and convenience package on it. I hate how low the monitor is for the GPS. I loved my Santa Fe as it’s monitor sat nice and high. Being low is a distraction and safety concern for me. I really do feel ripped off by Red McCombs sells department. They were not transparent with their extended warranty and dealer mark ups at all. The day I bought the car, I almost walked out because I had a bad feeling I was being lied to. I was right after doing more investigating on my contract. I had already signed and the contract my calls and messages were ignored after that. So there you have it. Overall, I like my truck but will rethink using Red McCombs for my purchase next year. I absolutely loved my Santa Fe but it couldn’t tow 2500lbs according to the manual. I would definitely still have it if it did.

2024 Stone Blue XRT

I had a 2013 Veloster but I grew too old for it, needed something much higher. Much like the Veloster, I saw the SC in 2022 and loved the styling. Ive had it one year/3300 miles so I dont drive alot. But I love it every time I do. Get a turbo version, it's a pocket rocket! It has a couple like quirks but so does every car out there. The one thing stands out is that you set all sorts of settings from the dash. But use the phone to start and all my settings are changed. If thats the worst, Im just great with it. Also it does NOT come with a matching power passenger seat!

Ownership started out very rough

We were excited to purchase this SUV/Truck hybrid, but after 1 week of ownership, it ended up at the dealer for over 40 days due to the dual clutch transmission. Since then, we have had burnt coolant odors, and the engine seems just a bit clackety like a sewing machine. It doesn't provide a secure feeling after our initial 40 days of issues. Comfort is great, the versatility of the vehicle is very nice, and the looks are pretty good. The only other issue is that our GPS does strange routings, and isn't updating with the latest highways.

Nice small pickup

Great small pickup, fun to drive, good power, good bed size for small jobs around house, pulling trailer with bike. Only problem is retractable bed cover who leaks little on car wash. Very nice interior and exterior.

2024 Hyundai Santa Cruz. I have owned several trucks. Ford, GMC, and Mazda. The Santa Cruz far surpasses any of those in every category. Style, function. and reliability. What else can I say, best truck I have ever owned.

Wonderful to drive!

Very disappointed after purchasing truck; finding out the hard way bed with cover doesn’t protect contents from rain water. Would not have purchased if I had known that ahead of time. Ford’s truck doesn’t leak!

I love the color choices and the stylish interior and exterior design.

The vehicle is pretty quick and fun to put it in sports mode for extra speed. I get compliments everywhere I go. Very fun to own and drive.I would recommend the Hyundai Santa Cruz to my friends and family.

Comfortable with good driving performance. Great value for the price!

After one year and 20,000 miles, I am very pleased with this vehicle! I am a mechanical engineer and auto enthusiast, and I bought this as my daily driver. AWD is impressive and has been fantastic in my mountain location in bad weather. Power seats are extremely comfortable (I am 63 with some back issues). The 2.5L turbo has plenty of pickup. Driving dynamics are good for this class of vehicle! The double-clutch automatic has a few quirks, but nothing that I would consider problematic. Infotainment system is a little clunky with too many options that add unnecessary complexity, but nothing really problematic (I have yet to drive any car with a really great interface for infotainment to be honest!). Overall, Hyundai has done some nice engineering in coming up with this vehicle! Great value for the price! Worth a test drive if you are considering this.

Fun vehicle to drive, handles great! I had a Hyundai Veloster for the previous 11 years which I absolutely loved. I saw this vehicle about 3 years before and said that that would be my next car. I did my research and chose the night Edition. I have been surprised by how this handles it's almost like driving a sports car with the quick acceleration.

excellent BUT

I would give it a 5 star rating if I didn't have problem when I first got it. Windshield leaked TWICE and flooded the floor. Then at 7000 mile 1 tire went bad (long story and you wouldn't believe it if I told you about it) and the dealership would not cover it. Other than that it drives VERY comfortable like a sedan. I have owned many pickup trucks. It drive like a car. I love everything else about it.

Love my Santa Cruz

My Santa Cruz is reliable, beautiful, and drives like a dream! It rides nice the seats are extremely comfortable!! I love the heated seat option. The bed is just like any other truck bed and is very functional, I would highly recommend it.

Great snazzy looking P/U with lots of power and handles well

Overall excellent small sized pickup that looks great and turns heads wherever I go. The bed handles whatever loads I need for weekend box store items (mulch plants etc etc). Very comfortable especially on long trips on interstates and handles all road conditions quite well. Just so impressed with the safety features and sound system. Wished I had purchased this model years ago.

The price and features are way better than the big 3 car companies. Ford, Chevy, and Dodge are way more expensive and not nearly as nice as the Santa Cruz. But the Santa Cruz is a lower riding vehicle than most of its competitors. But with all the bells and whistles it comes with is better than it’s competitors

Haven’t had my car long enough.

Haven’t had my sana cruz long enough to give it a fair review. The only thing that the manufacturer could change is both front seats adjustments should be power standard option. My driver side seat has power only and passenger side manual.

The Santa Cruz Rocks

The Santa Cruz is perfect for someone who wants a truck but also wants the fuel economy of a SUV. Has enough room on the second row for people to take a long trip and not complain about it. A smooth and easy ride, love it so much.

Very nice vehicle however, the “XRT” trim should have all terrain

XRT trim should have leather seats and all terrain tires. Vehicle is great for utility. Vehicle is stylish and the color blue stone is great. A fog light option should be an option. Truck is quick and fun to grove however the “smart” mode selection is useless!

Reliable, comfortable, roomy, and has a get up and go turbo engine. The safety and reliability does not compare to other vehicle. Nicely built for every day or recreational driving. Hampton Gray with black interior is a perfect match.

Pepe little truck

Absolutely love my truck but the Hyundai roadside assistance is awful. Make sure you get it on your insurance because of in my case they never have a provider in my area. Takes many hours to get service.
