A few issues

I need to schedule an appointment to have the door to my gas tank fixed. It will not open by pushing on it anymore, if it accidentally gets closed. Instead, I need to pry it open. Also, every now and then the radio just turns off. Lastly, sometimes it seems as those it does not shift properly. Over all, I am very happy but need to have a few things fixed. I also was never able to connect to BlueLink even by calling BlueLink directly.

It a smooth riding and comfortable vehicle..

Only things I didn’t like is there no leg room in the in the back for bigger passengers. The motor on the 2.5 liter could be a bit peppered, but overall the seating is comfortable, the instruments or easy to work and undesirable and the gasoline mileage is not to shabby.

Overall, I love my Santa Cruz. The Blue Link and radio have had a few glitches. Gas mileage hasn't been great. A rock has chipped my paint, and at times, it hesitates when continuing after slowing down or stopping. I'm very happy with the design and tires.

2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz

I gave my grandson my 2006 Honda Ridgeline and bought the Santa Cruz. It’s taken me awhile to fully appreciate how nice of a ride it is. I found it a little bit small when comparing it to the Ridgeline, and am not able to fit any of my motorcycles in the bed due to small size. That being said, the Santa Cruz drives great, gets excellent gas mileage, is quite comfortable, and has all wheel drive, which was a must for me. It even pulls my trailer easier than the Ridgeline.

Nice package

Need modifications to cargo area and existing slider cover. There is too much space for water, dust, and dirt to enter the area. The cover requires far too much effort to unlock, latch, open and close. Ride is good as is seating. The interior is adequate for five average size adults. Visibility to the rear is limited, however outside rear mirrors provide good save maneuvering and lane changing.

Great vehicle, unreliable supply chain

I love this vehicle! Performace and design for sports utility is spot on! However, Suplly chain for reliable parts appears ro be sub par. My vehicle has been at dealer for 6 months waiting for a fuel pump that is under warranty.

2025 review of our 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz. It has 33,000 miles on it

Over all good but some changes would make it great. My wife loved it for going to yard sales and the ease of transporting mulch, potting soil and flowers for her gardens. I’m over 6 ft. and my wife is 5’3 the memory driver seat is badly needed for us.

Excellent compact truck

Interior well laid out. Technological features are everything you could want or need. Exterior appearance is such that you will get numerous compliments. Engine power will get you in trouble as it is extremely powerful. Road noise is a little loud but nothing that takes away from the vehicle as a whole. If looking for a compact truck that rides like a midsize SUV and has the power of a race car then this is your truck. I highly recommend

For its size it has a nice ride. It is noisy, poor gas mileage. The biggest problem are the intermittent glitches in all the electronics. I really despise the fact it gathers personal information.

Loaded with features. Great value for the money. Great towing ability.

This is my first experience with 360-degree view cameras, air-conditioned seats, and turn signal cameras. These features will be must haves on any future vehicle. The Santa Cruz lives up to its advertising towing capability. The ride is comfortable, and the interior layout is appealing. The adjustable position tailgate allowed me to haul some round banquet tables that a RAM 1500 owner couldn't get secured in his truck bed. Under the rear seat and under the truck bed storage compartments allow me to haul tow hitches, tie down straps and tools that no one can see, leaving the truck bed fully usable when needed. The standard, locking bed cover puts the Santa Cruz way ahead of competitors in its class.

My wife loves it that's the reason I bought it but regretted after the transmission problems after just 2 years. That's not a very good sign especially after buying it new. I am regretting it now but will await my wife's decision

Best road trip car, but not without some concerns

So far the Santa Cruz is my favorite model. I have had a few Hyundai's in the past so thats sayinga lot. I am always on the road and this is the vehicle for it. If I'm transporting food and goods or if I'm road tripping across California, it has been the most comfortable vehicle have ever owned. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 star is due to time down in the shop, had some mechanical issues.

No complaints, lots of features and twice the milage of my old truck

Overall, I am very pleased with the truck. Good fuel economy, the turbo is great, 4 wheel drive works well plus the body looks great. I get lots of comments about and questions about the truck, most are very impressed with the milage.

Excellent Small Truck

The Santa Cruz is a nice small pickup truck that us fuel efficient and fun to drive. Enjoy the rapid acceleration and the trunk storage. Black on black with the adventure package is the best. Cruse with Lane control is nice, almost self driving.

Santa Cruz Review

Had multiple transmissions issues with this vehicle. Low miles and dealer could not get parts or service in a tiny manner. In less than 2 years it was out of my possession with the dealer for over 60 days. Loner was worthless because this car was driven by my teabags son and the dealer would not allow him to drive the loaner which meant that my wife and I had to allow him to drive our cars. Hated this experience and will never recommend Hyundia to anyone and will never buy another Hyundia.

Like a sports sedan with a bed

The 2.5t paired with HTRAC is excellent. The Santa Cruz features strong acceleration and the awd system handles any road condition. 7"+ of Snow or intense rain. The cruz corners quite well for a vehicle at SUV height. Comprable to a sedan. I was also able to tow a golf cart on a 5x8 trailer without any issue. Unfortunatrly, bed space is somewhat further limited by the factory tonneau roll-up. I can only fit 2 large totes in the rear, i think without the roll-up I could squeeze a third.That said, it's quite useful and nice to have sepeate cargo space from the cab. The interior is nice, touch screen is good sized and responsive. I'd prefer more buttons than "tabs" like what are featured beside the touch screen. Beyond this, as a taller person with taller friends it has been told to me any more than a 2 hour drive is uncomfortable in the rear seats. Front seats are fine as far as I'm concerned. Heated seats are a nice touch but the lack of a heated steering wheel in the SEL premium is unfortunate. I've owned this vehicle for 2 years now and have thoroughly enjoyed it every day. My only wish is that we could squeeze just a few more HP out through a factory approved tune.

Love it!

Really enjoy driving the Santa Cruz, after decades of driving a large truck! Have not had any issues thus far. Bought the 2022 new, and it is now 2025. Looking to trade for the 2026 soon! Hopefully it has a few of the finer details.

Love it. Wish I got the Turbo tho.

Handles great. It's able to tow my 19' jet boat and still get 13mpg while doing so. Fun to drive. Handles snow like a champ. A/C blows super cold even in Florida's hot summers. Cross country trips travel well.
