Amazing car!

This is my second Hyundai, and I'm glad I selected it over Tesla model y. Looks are subjective, but I've grown to really like the Ioniq 5's appearance. The drive quality is much better than Tesla in my opinion. The acceleration and the overall handling is great. The range does reduce quite a bit on highways, but that's not specific to this EV. I wish the awd range was a little bit higher.

Best looking EV SUV on the market

Beautiful car with cool styling. Fun to drive and charges fast. Roomy and comfortable interior with good use of storage. Addition of wireless Android Auto and a rear windshield wiper would improve the experience.

Ioniq 5 is great

Replaced Tesla Model 3, and won’t look back. More roomy, less quirky, better service, and less intrusive driver aids. Oh, and Elon Musk has nothing to do with it, so that’s a plus, too. Overall very pleased with the vehicle.

Ioniq 5 Limited AWD

Drives like a dream ... a quiet peaceful dream! Well designed with a beautiful roomy interior and attention getting exterior. The full moon roof is a bonus. More features to make driving easier than other makes/models we considered. This is the car we chose to enter into the EV world and so far, we haven't looked back!

Great car

Shop around for the best price. If you are use to an older car with less tech this one has a fairly steep learning curve and a lot of features so give yourself time to adjust. Great car overall you will like it.

My wife was drawn to getting an electric car. She didn’t get exactly what she wanted with the color but the overall experience was great. Would highly recommend the dealership and staff. No complaints here. We were able to trade in our vehicles, which is a plus.

Happy Enough

I like it. First new car in 12 years, and met my wish list for making the switch to an EV. Test drove other peer makes and models, but the Ioniq 5 ultimately met all on my wish list, not the least of which is being able to fit my two dogs in the cargo area for short haul and longer road trip

probably the best car ever made.

This is one of the best cars and the best EV I have driven, It's fun to drive, comfortable, and has a competitive driving range. There are some features that are dangerous and life threatening, however. Besides the annoying "dinging" noise that chimes when I'm driving through any school zone that used to not exist (that was presumably added in an update), the dangerous feature that has always existed in the lane correction. On winding roads, when I'm in a single lane and turning into the curve, the car has a tendency to overpredict that I'm going to run off the road and not turn in time, so it corrects for me. This would be mildly useful if it didn't overcorrect and nearly cause the car to veer into traffic several times, which would of ended my life. God forbid.

Vehicle doesn't charge at advertised rate.

After 4 attempted fixes over 72 days at the dealer, the car still would not charge at greater than 6 amps without overheating. Was bought back as a lemon, but we saw multiple cars with the same issue.

Only a month so far, but great

I'm a fan of EVs and carefully watch upcoming news about new EVs on the market. I'm disappointed about the state of EV infrastructure for charging on longer road trips, but I do not plan on many of those.

The truth about ionic 5

While the ride quality is good and the inside is spacious, there is a severe downside. The estimated range is not even remotely close to what is projected. If you're trying to forecast, cut your mileage by half. This is without using excessive air conditioner, radio or plug and adapters. That defeats the whole purpose especially when you add in the cost of charging. I purchased this for economic reasons and to my estimate I would have been better off with a fuel efficient car.

Fun to drive. Poor charging capbility.

Great car to drive. Great styling and roominess inside. Performance is great. Vehicle does not charge as advertised. The manufacturer is loath to correct the charging problem. They issue software work around that decreases the charging speed.

First EV. Best car I’ve owned.

I love this car. Looks are so cool, charges fast, drives fast, efficiency as advertised, super comfortable and sneaky large interior. And no problems so far after 1 year and 9k miles. Premium audio system is good but not great.

Terrific all-electric vehicle

Excellent range and driving comfort. This vehicle is the best we've ever driven on snowy roads. VERY quiet and comfortable interior. Would love to see USB-C and wireless phone connection and charging in all trim levels. Vehicle lacks a rear window wiper, which is noticeable when traveling in sloppy conditions. These are minor annoyances when compared to the overall product. Be sure to try Sport Mode (hang on to something!).

Good looking, does the core car stuff well, wish it were more polished

I'm using my Ioniq for local family driving, purchasing larger numbers of things, and work commute. It's doing the job well and Eco is giving me great range. The car is good looking and spacious; passengers generally like it. I wish it had a better sound system, slightly more silent ride (there's a lot of rattling of belts, unsecure bottle holders, etc), and easier to use control system. I bought this car over a Tesla because I hated the central touch screen control approach Tesla uses. I wish Hyundai had made the non-display touch controls buttons instead.

Excellent car, only a few small changes could have made it an amazing car

The car is great but hyundai had a lot of near 0 effort changes that could boost the appeal (see pros/cons) Easy to drive, comfortable, and fast. I try to make excuses to drive the car all the time and sometimes do a lot of short trips instead of getting everything at once just to drive more often.

That’s right

I work for genesis the only regret I have is not buying a gv60. I love the Ioniq 5 for its reliability but it doesn’t come with as many features as I would like it’s great for a daily commute. I don’t drive it to often but it’s nice
