Elantra N TCR

Overall I love this car. I had a N previously and upgraded to the TCR. The interior upgrades in the TCR are really nice. Hyundai still need to fix the issue with the octane learning, or should I say not learning. Also the front bumper cover never stays snapped in on the corners, just like the regular N after the facelift, and the front lip is pretty weak and doesnt hold up to even the smallest amount of a tap.

Good car with one major issue

The N mode buttons do not save the settings you entered for more than a couple drives. Its very annoying to accidentally go into N standard instead of custom 1 or 2 while driving where I then have to set the button back to a custom mode. Everything else is great.

The Elantra N is a super impressive car! It is a race car! After I broke in the engine properly, I took my N to an actual race track to see what this car could do. I was on the track with multi vehicles that I know cost twice and a couple 3 times the amount I paid for the N. The N did not disappoint at all! It handles in "N" mode so well and I had no problem getting notice by others because the of the speed and performance! I highly recommend the Elantra N to everyone that was a sensibly priced fun car. I literally look forward to the weekends to go drive my N!

This is a great vehicle glad I purchased it. It is sporty and looks really nice. Have always wanted a Hyundai ELANTRA N TCR edition! Glad they offered them in the states. It is a great looking car.

Muy divertido la verdad pero tiene problemas seguidos con la bomba de gasolina que se queda corta y el muelle de la válvula del escape se calienta y se queda cerrada la válvula en modo N sin hacer pops lo cual es un problema que creo debería corregirse y no hablo solo por mi sino que he creado una pequeña comunidad de Elantras N y todos les pasa lo mismo, estaría genial que corrijan eso gracias

Great Car, Great Handling, Octane Learning Leaves it Underpowered

Pros: Great value for the price. The Michelin 4S tires make the car handle exceptionally well, and the exhaust in N mode is genuinely addictive. There’s plenty of space in the back and the trunk, though the cross‑strut makes loading larger items—like my full‑size mountain bike—a bit awkward (it can be removed). Comfort is solid, the shocks are adjustable, and N mode is absolutely the way to drive it. Southern California roads are smooth enough that the stiff suspension isn’t an issue. Safety features and lane‑change alerts work well without trying to wrestle the wheel from you. Overall, it’s fun, engaging, and still practical. Cons: The car feels underpowered because the octane‑learning system never seems to work. Nearly 2,000 miles of premium fuel and it still hasn’t switched into its higher‑performance calibration, which makes the advertised numbers feel misleading. The only other annoyance is the black wheels—two noticeable chips already, in strange spot, suggesting the paint isn’t very durable.

Great car but has some issues

The car itself is fantastic and feels good but there are a few glaring issues that I have noticed. For starters third gear and sometimes others is very notchy when upshifting at times. The next issue is the actuator makes a honking sound when driving at random . The last thing is when it rains the undercarriage rusts heavily and when I put it in gear it has to be gassed and I feel the car snap out of the rust. That doesn’t sound good.

I love my N overall. The only things I wish I could change are making the passenger window automatic like the drivers, I didn't realize how much that was an inconvenience until losing the option. I wish the gas tank was a little bit bigger, it makes keeping my shell rewards hard, you are required to use at least 10 gallons for the purchase count and with putting in premium gas, I lose 2 stars every fill up. The last thing is the car never stops pulling in air from the outside. Why? I have never had a vehicle do this before. Besides those three things, I absolutely love my N. Its fast, and it handles amazing!
