My Hyundai Elantra N Completes Me!

My very first car was a 2021 Elantra Limited. I was involved in a car accident which left it totaled. I knew I wanted another Elantra and it just so happened that my dealership (Elk Grove Hyundai) had my same car (same color too) in a newer year. HOWEVER, when I saw the Elantra N I knew it was mine. The drive is so smooth and the handling is like second nature to me. Turning in this car is so satisfying. The touch screen is solid and feels very high quality. You can modify the car's steering, engine, suspension, ESC and among other things! The fact that it's so customizable and allows me to give a different experience driving at my whim is wonderful. With N Mode, you can completely transform the car into a track monster. The trunk is just as spacious as the interior. The Elantra N comes with a massive user manual I encourage everyone to read to fully learn and flesh out the capabilities of the car.

2026 Hyundai Elantra N Review

Over all, a fun car to drive. For similarly priced performance cars on the market, you do get the most bang for your buck with the Elantra N. It almost doesn't feel like you're driving a Hyundai while you're behind the wheel. The overall style of the car is great, interior is great, exterior is great. The bucket seats look amazing and do their job, but if you are looking for a comfortable ride for long distances, these seats aren't for you. I just rolled over 7000 miles, and so far there have not been any issues. I feel like some performance aspects of the car could have been better. The wheel hop is harsh and it could be fixed with aftermarket parts, but installing them could void your vehicle warranty. I feel the wheel hop should have been better addressed and corrected from factory. My only other suggestion would be for improvement on octane recognition. If I run 93 octane, it enables more boost, but it is difficult to get the vehicle to learn the octane.. and it resets if the vehicle is cut off. Other performance suggestions for future generations of this vehicle to come: 1. AWD 2. Wheel hop correction 3. Improved octane learning / onboard fuel settings Additional options suggestions for future generations of this vehicle to come: 1. HomeLink 2. Power folding side view mirrors 3. Exterior rear door handle sensors 4. Front view camera 5. Wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay

Octane learning is infuriating

Overall I love the car. Here are a few quibbles I have: 1. Octane learning is impossible to activate on my car. I have followed the instructions in the owner's manual and in the 2.5 months I've had the car it hasn't activated yet. It would be nice if there were an override that would let the driver just toggle it and assume responsibility for what happens. 2. The exhaust sound is great, I just wish there were more of it. 3. No air conditioning in the rear of the car is a huge oversight. 4. Having to be wired to connect to Android Auto sort of defeats the purpose of having a wireless charger in the car. 5. The handlebar in the middle of the car is obnoxious. I am not a fan. 6. Reverse is either stopped, or all out. It would be nice to have it geared so I didn't have to feel like I were a stunt man driving backward. 7. For having a huge trunk, the opening is pretty small. 8. No spare tire really makes me sad.

great car minor complaints

overall the car is great, sometimes the tech has some issues and wont work maybe also auto windows all the way around a heated steering wheel and some other features would be nice the suspension is a bit harsh (im used to suvs though) and some of the parts creak a bit but overall i love the car just wish it would creak a bit less

Fun car to drive.

Fun to drive and plenty of power. Only complaint would be the octane learning. It's a performance model so limiting the power before octane learned is really annoying. Should just be tuned for 91 plus and get the power all the time.

Great car, very fun to drive. The few things Hyundai should do is remove the octane learn feature or update it so it doesn't take as long to octane learn and give it more power. Bigger front brakes would also help, not saying the brakes are bad. Delete the sunroof on the DCT.

Nnteresting Cyber Goose

Elantra N is definitely amazing for its price and almost gets a perfect score from me. Just minor things that should be standard for the price point rear air vents and adaptive cruise control. I would LOVE LOVE to have the ability to get blue seat belts. I wouldn’t mind paying a hair bit more for these features. Also the older models have the pops and bangs. Sad to see the sound go down considering this is what the car is known for. Overall 5 stars!! A ton of smiles per miles

Spinning the Block

I truly love my ‘26 Elantra N. Hyundai did an amazing job with this platform. It’s my 2nd one. I previously had a’23 Elantra N. I upgraded back in November ‘25. Better handling with the ‘26.

My Second Elantra N I literally spun the Block on it!

So this is my 2nd Elantra N. I also had a ‘23 Elantra N. I got it again because Hyundai upgraded the suspension/ride. It was a definite improvement. I really purchased it again because you can’t BEAT what you get out of this car for 35k. I did have a transmission replacement at 45k in the ‘23 but I was COMPLETELY taken care of!!

The Elantra N is a legit sports car & very fun to drive. From the adaptive exhaust note to the adaptive suspension to the sport bucket seats this vehicle is all around a great car. Looks awesome too. This is my second Elantra N & I’d choose this model for a third time. Very pleased with this product.

Love this car!

There is no better description than the title...this car is just fun. It is fast, shifts smoothly, hugs turns, sounds good, and looks even better. Granted, it guzzles premium gas and you feel the road bumps, but this car was designed to be fast. Run it on a track or wait for a good stretch of open road or a curvy mountain climb. I'm in my 70's and this car makes me smile.
