Fun but slightly uncomfortable

The car is very fun, gets great gas mileage when you want, and has low maintenance costs. Downsides are that the brakes are not smooth, and do not stop the vehicle well. Also, the seats are uncomfortable and tight. They push my legs too far in together and crush my gonads. The suspension can be rough at times and feels like it bottoms out on rough pavement

Minor Complaints of the Elantra N

The 2024 Hyundai Elantra N is a beautiful car that I bought new in 2024. After a year and a half of ownership I’m happy with my purchase. The interior of the car is beautiful and has the physical buttons for controlling climate and radio, which are crucial in my opinion. The ability change the driving feel of the car at a press the button is great, though in recent months I’ve noticed that my saved configurations for what the “n” buttons on the left and right side of the steering wheel are no longer saved, restoring to the factory setting of just turning N mode on or returning to standard rather than rotating through the options. There is also my issue with the CarPlay, with the car only coming with wired CarPlay option, I would have expected a car in this price bracket to come with Wireless CarPlay. The exterior of the car is amazing looking as well and seems to be holding up to my standard driving conditions, with only minor dents and scratches in the paint from rocks. Overall I’ve found the car to fit my needs and desires quite well, being a reliable vehicle and a fun one.

In short I love this car its been the best investment I have ever made if I could I would one after every update the car is smart stylish fun to drive.drove 15 hour straight and never once thought wow my but hurts perfect car

Fun to drive but I have some issues that bother me

Elantra n is very very fun to drive and the car looks great. After having it awhile the interior feels a little cramped. The issues I have are with the build. My front bumper sags pretty bad and it feels loose. I can move the whole front bumper up and down. The hood alignment is pretty bad especially on the driver side. You can see the fender bolts the hood sits up so high and because the bumper sags I can see through the gap of the hood and see light through the bumper. Also the trunk sits up very high on the passenger side. The satin black paint has failed on all four wheels it just fading away and it doesn’t look good at all. The dealer said they would fix it but I’m still waiting since sept 10th and it now December. I think they want someone to come paint them in the parking lot which I’m not a big fan of

Great naming for buck

Great car great performance very fun to drive. Would have been a 5 star but it does have cheap bumper parts and clips that don’t hold and show gaps as they wear.

Great all around fun car that you can track without worries

I love my Elantra N. Majority of the time, it is a daycare mobile. It does a great job and kids love riding in it. There is enough excitement in it. I have even tracked the car and it is extremely capable. The car does not overheat and can keep going lap after lap. Only problem with 2024+ models is the quieter exhaust and less pops. It makes the car feel more boring and honestly I rather drive an Ioniq 5N, because it at least has fake pops and burbles. Also octane learning is very very annoying. Please get rid of it.

The definition of bang for your buck

If you can get past the shabby stealerships this car is great for the price point. Tech suite inside is really in a class of its own and performance has been clearly established in the segment.

Transmission / DCT issues

The car has had issues with shifting. The vehicle lost power on a major highway barely making it off to a safe location. I received a transmission errors and had a powertrain DTC code before. Both times I took it to the dealership. The DTC error code of Powertrain was just cleared and was sent on my way. For the transmission error, the dealer said the car had low transmission fluid. The car has just around 10k. I know there have been recall on past N's and other Hyundai lines. I hope they figure this out sooner than later.

The Perfect Divers car... can be both sporty or and or economical.

I am from old-school muscle cars, but the Elantra N has changed that to include hot turbo 4 Cylinders to my mix.

Fun car, poor build quality, poor attention to detail.

Everything that the N group changed is pretty excellent (engine, manual transmission, LSD, seats) but the rest of the car leaves a lot to be desired.

This car is a WINNER!

Reasons I love this car, in no particular order: • It stickered for less than $36k • Hyundai rightfully spent the money on performance hardware, not luxury or tech • This car is rare; I seldom see one • Given its price point and front wheel drive, the steering, handling, engine performance, braking, seating/interior are outstanding • Every tactile interface, steering wheel, gear shifter, clutch, seats, feel just right • The engine is rated at 288 horsepower and feels plenty powerful. With only slight turbo lag below 3000 rmp, it spins enthusiastically to 6500 and has the awesome mid-range turbo surge. I’ve owned cars twice as powerful but this one is more fun because you can use 100% of its power almost every time you drive it. Like the old saying “It’s more fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow”. • Lightweight wheels and Michelin summer performance tires are beyond expectations for a car at this price • The 3-way exhaust system is one of the best I’ve ever heard. Instead of buying a car and then spending $1000+ on an after-market exhaust that may or may not sound great, it comes standard! • The interior is spacious and easily carries 4 adults. The trunk volume is large. Things that could use some attention: • One performance item that should be addressed is the wheel hop on hard acceleration from a stop • The Bose stereo would benefit from another rear speaker • Add a deck lid close grab handle • The exhaust doesn’t seem as loud as it was on my 2019 Veloster N with the same powertrain and exhaust.

My overall experience with this performance car has been beyond my expectations! I enjoy every mile driving this car up in the canyons and for daily commuting to work. Best value for your money! Waited 3 years for the refresh model to come out and was definitely worth the wait.

Lit car

This car is fast and fun to drive. Performs as expected. This car has so many great features as well. The build in GPS works great, the wireless charging pad for my iPhone and the customer seats are just a few of the great features. The exhaust system is sounds perfect. Sounds like a fast car but not obnoxiously loud. Just perfect. My car is black with red accents and I love the way the car looks.
