Good vehicle

My Rav4 has perfirmed very well before the brake issue im currently awaiting results on. Ive owned it for 7 years and followed all maintance guidelines. Comfort level is a little less than hoped for. Armrest and cubby underneath it are small. My wish would be thst i ciuld purchase a toyota in the same price range with leather seats and NO skylight. My eyes are sensitive in bright sun so i rarely open it in the daytime and forget about it at night. Past experience with a different car was a very expensive fix every time, just because it did not get used enough to clear the drain tubes

Reliable.

Best car I’ve ever had. 235K miles and still going strong. I’ve kept up with all maintenance and it performs. No major maintenance issues. Service checks and oil changes every 5000 miles. No engine leaks.

Regret this purchase

Regret this purchase will make better choice next time and do my research will not recommend this vehicle and hope others are not having same issues but from what I read online there were similar reviews as mine

Vehicle issues

Did not realize that Toyota puts faulty radios that eventually go out within a couple of years per the service manager. Knowing this why don’t they fix the issue when building the RAV4?! It was the wrong thing to tell a customer by the service manager.

Reliable

Starts, stops, tracks well, high capacity. That is all I require of a car. I only have 74,000 miles on it, so I don't personally know about the long run, but the word on the street is, she should be good for a few hundred thou.

1000,00 mile tune up.

This car is the best driven car. With 4 good snow tries in the winter you make your own trail. Overall, I had it for nine years. I had replacements. Like brakes, battery and small lists of maintenance I have recorded. No rust at all! Ziebert did its job!

Known inferior part: radio and navigation, too expensive to replace when defective.

My RAV4 was a good car until the radio and navigation stopped working. Many other RAV4 owners have had this problem at around 50,000 miles. First quote to fix was $5,000.00, then marked down to $1,500.00. A lot of money for a low quality part. Will now need to carry a cheap pocket radio with me on trips and use my cell phone for navigation. I won't ever consider buying a Toyota in the future.

OK

This has been reliable transportation. It starts with a turn of the key. It slows and stops when the brake is applied. It turns as directed by the steering wheel and stops when the key is switched off. It carries whatever I put into it. It suits my needs.

Mechanically solid, poor build quality

Our RAV4 is a solid vehicle, but Toyota has lost its hold on quality. The rear lift gate pistons malfunctioned and stopped working after a few years - after the warranty expired of course. $1,600 to replace! Body side molding is coming apart as well.

Love my RAV4

Never any problems with this RAV4. Just routine maintenance. Perfect SUV. Fun to drive, looks great, roomy, good looking vehicle, good on gas. Bought it new and will drive it until it dies! Very happy with this car.

All replaced parts look brand new and from Toyota. This is very important to me since the car is still under Toyota warrantee. I would trust 100% to AJ USA on any repair I will have after Toyota warrantee expires in September 2022. Keep up the good work.

Great car

I expect to have this car for at least 200,000 miles. I usually keep Toyotas for that many mailed. Have a tow hitch installed and use it for bike transport. Interior easy to read. Sound system good.

This is my third read for my second limited. Great car mileage not very good until at least 30,000 miles end it took me six years to put on the 30,000 miles. Cara handles very well. Not really conducive for short people because the Sideview mirror on the driver side and the post visually obstruct my view

My visit at swamps repair Auto was great. The staff was friendly and communicated well while I waited for my vehicle to be inspected. The waiting room was warm and comfortable while my wait was short.

Love it

I am very happy with our Rav 4. Its the perfect vehicle for this stage of our life, possible the last vehicle we will need. It is very comfortable and easy to get in and out of. Rear seating is also comfortable and roomy. Plus very adequate space in the "trunk" area.

Nice comfortable ride.

We have two Rav4s and love both of them. It's a nice comfortable ride and we like the size - not too small and not too big. The only main complaint so far is that there are no vents to the back row so temperature control is an issue. Otherwise there's plenty of leg room and comfortable cabin.

Great car

We like the features of the Limited except the hands free voice command and voice quality of the Blue tooth. Toyota really needs to work on this. Dealer did everything they could to correct but with no success. People on other end of phone call can not understand us, voice command seldom works and you give up.

One of our best auto purchases

Our 2014 RAV4 is one of the best auto purchases we have ever made. We 'custom' purchased the Barcelona Red Metallic because my wife loves that palette. Overall, the mechanical features have been very user friendly. Only a few small interior details that ultimately 'break' or fail. Overall -- an excellent choice!
