Gas mpg not close to what suposed to be according published epa values

Overall a good car. I would have picked the gas model instead since the hybrid didn't make the plus. Highway or city numbers are not remarkable. I have a sienna hybrid with lower published mpg and always delivers 1 or 2 miles above the published

2023 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid

Car is great. I did not like some missing features, but mostly did not like the sales rep of the dealership. Car looks are really good. Features are good but feel like a few of them are missing. Like Passenger seat is missing the automatic motion. It is manual one.

Great car

I didn’t start out wanting to buy a Hyundai Tuscon Hybrid. I went to the dealership and test drove the car. The ride was great, the features and styling were the best I’ve seen in the price range I was l looking. I am comparing happy with my choice.

Hybrid Tuscon Limitied definitely a 5 star vehicle

Vehicle has so may safety and convenence features it is amazing for the price point --definitely a notch or two above other vehicles. The hybrid engine responsiveness is significantly superior to the non-hybrid model and is a primary reason why I went with this vehicle.

Fun to drive

Great handling, good looking, comfortable, good storage, good vision, nice automobile. This would be a 10 star vehicle if the dealer would take the time to fix the three issues which are a flapping noise under the hood, a rattle in the passenger front door and an apple CarPlay system that when it works works great but it takes forever in a day every time I get in the car to get it to work.

Overall a good car to drive for comfort and fuel economy

Overall a good car to drive for comfort and fuel economy. I like the gas mileage and comfort driving the vehicle. The front end grill styling is too flashy for me, too many lights that distract from the actual headlights, and lacking on fog lamps. Interior design is lacking on storage area for glasses, and placing the cup holders right next to the push button controls for drive and reverse is worry some. I really did not have 200 words to say about all this.

Good performance but tiny gas tank

We own a Hyundai Ioniq Hybrid and the Tucson Hybrid due to the high quality and reliability of Hyundai vehicles. The Ioniq is great in all aspects, especially mpg and interior space. The Tucson is also great in comfort and features except for its range. The small gas tank (13 gal.) forces the range to be limited compared to other similar vehicles.

If you are buying the hybrid for the mileage, don't.

We've had the 2023 Tucson Hybrid Limited almost a year and have a little over 12k miles on it. The majority of miles are around town, but we've taken one 700-mile round trip and one 1,800 mile round trip. The car feels well-built and the features and tech on the Limited Hybrid are everything we hoped for. There are a LOT of menus and features to get through and it definitely takes some reading and online user videos to get the hang of it all. The ride is smooth and quiet, particularly for an SUV of this size. There is plenty of power for merging onto a highway from a short merge ramp and I’ve never felt like I was “in trouble” due to lack of acceleration. I put a Curt Class III hitch on the car and was pleased to find the hitch was perfectly drilled to the preexisting holes in the frame for the hitch, and the electrical harness is already located under the rear driver’s side. You have to buy a “pigtail” to adapt it from the harness to the trailer, but it is a very quick and easy installation; 30 - 45 minutes at most. The one disappointment I have, and it’s a big one, is the gas mileage. After about 5k of break-in miles, we could get anywhere from 35 - 39 mpg around town in the summer months. We’ve noticed cold weather takes a significant toll on it. Dayton OH winters are enough to take 4 or 5 mpg off the city mileage rating. I assume it’s because it runs the internal combustion engine more to warm things up (compartment heat, seat heaters, heated steering wheel, mirrors and rear defrost). The highway mpg is not good at all. On the 700-mile trip, we averaged 32 mpg, which was acceptable, but not great. On the 1800-mile trip the car struggled to average 28, which I find frustrating and unacceptable. This was with very little cargo (less than 100 lbs) and we are both small people (under 140 lbs each). Additionally, the geography wasn’t particularly tough (not a lot of hills), there was no significant headwind, and we typically had the cruise control set to the speed limit (mostly 65/70) or 2 to 3 mph over the speed limit. Max speed was 73 mph, and we are both conservative drivers with regard to gentle acceleration and braking. I even took the roof crossbars off before the trip to get less wind resistance. Bottom line, we like the car and all the comfort features, but the mpg (or lack thereof) is a HUGE disappointment. It was the main reason we spent the additional money on the hybrid, and it seems it was a waste. Knowing what I know now, I wish I had just gone with the non-hybrid version or perhaps gone with the other car we considered, the Hybrid Toyota Rav4. A neighbor bought the 2022 model and is averaging 40 mpg OVERALL after 2 years of owning it. The final deciding factor was the longer Hyundai warranty.

Hybrid isn't worth the issues

My service tech told me the majority of the vehicles coming into their shop are new hybrids. Wish my sales guy had mentioned this. ? Not worth the price. Too many issues for a brand new vehicle. I won't buy hyndai again.

Too many issues early on

Looks more modern and stylish than competitors but things already not working well (oil leak, rear door latch issues, handle sensors inconsistent, weird stuffing coming out of windshield, weird jolting went accelerating).. I am anxious about what more problems I will be facing if these things are already not working well.. wanted to try out new brand but am kind of disappointment in my experience so far.. sad to not have faith in my car already

Not my favorite car

I am disappointed that there is a knocking noise that no one can seem to fix. My car was in the shop for 2 months after purchase. I thought it was resolved but the noise is back. I drive very high miles and was hopeful a hybrid was a good option. I just don’t feel the quality is up to par.

Lots of mic features , easy to drive and looks natural ce.

The car is excellent, howevet, if you’re not familiar with new technology, it can be difficult to learn without someone showing you how to use the navigation system. I am still very satisfied with the car.

Not that impressed

I had high hopes on his car being something I love for next 10 years. Sadly, it's fallen short for me. Gas mpg is NOT accurately advertised. If you are considering this for saving on fuel, consider how much your monthly payment will cost like it's additional gas prices. So I'm not really saving at this time, which was my goal.

Extremely happy with all aspects of this purchase

I needed a reliable car, first and foremost. This car has exceeded all of my expectations. It looks really magnificent, inside and out. I also test drove the Santa Fe, but selected the Tucson. I am very happy with this hybrid’s performance.

I was a good purchase

I was expecting better gas mpg. The battery does not stay on enough to increase the mpg.The cameras seem to get dirty quickly, making the lane system to function improperly. Not having a spare tire, makes me feel uncomfortable, while driving. I have always had a spare, this is the first time I haven't had one.

Fun and stylish

The only reason I would not purchase this hybrid vehicle again is the obnoxiously loud reverse beeping. It’s highly embarrassing and can be heard inside our home and our neighbors homes. Otherwise; happy with purchase, but the reverse noise is enough to not buy another one for our second teen.

nice automobile expect long term durability

like Hyundai vehicles. have had several. found them to be well built, easy to drive, and stylish. especially like the 10/100 warranty. it speaks to Hyundai's faith in the quality of their product. have recommended Hyundai vehicles to friends. became interested in the Tuscan hybrid because of the warranty. new technology isn't always the greatest when first introduced. feel comfortable with Hyundai vehicles.

Love my car!

I bought the Tucson for the gas mileage but it is also very comfortable inside. Tucson is reliable and the backup camera is much nicer than the older model. Hyundai has always been reliable and a good value.

Good hybrid suv but reverse beeping will annoy.

Everything is great about the car except for the freeway mileage and the reverse beeping. If you want to embarrass your family just put the car into reverse. Everyone will look at you like if a box truck is backing up.
