2024 Tucson Hybrid Limited a Winner

We have thoroughly enjoyed our Tucson so far. The safety features are amazing. It is very comfortable and gets great gas mileage. We looked at Honda, Toyota, Subaru and Lexus cars and believe we got the best car for the money. I don't think Lexus is any better than our Tucson. I am impressed with the top of the line tires, sound system and interior. I am not impressed that easily but my wife and I love this car!!

Great styling and functionality

The Hyundai Tucson Hybrid is a good size and has many excellent features. The gear shift buttons are great, as they keep the console between driver and passenger low. Lots of information on the screens; just wish it had a front camera. I use the rear camera all the time.

Live the ride. Dislike the door lock system and order the buttons and knobs to touch screen. Gas mileage is good but not great.

Not the car I thought I was getting

My gas mileage is very low for a hybrid 29.6 mpg. There is a rattle in the back window. The acceleration can be very jerky. The car is comfortable otherwise but I'm not sold on it.

Great Hybrid

Good fuel economy, and great ride. When I get in slow traffic the Hybrid feature uses battery rather than burning gas. Camera system let's me stay aware of my surroundings.

Rear view mirror

In general the vehicle has been fine. One small thing irratates me. I am 6 ft tall. The vehicle has plenty of headroom. I like to sit with the seat a little higher than some people and with the backrest a little straighter. The inside rear view mirror will not adjust up to my eye level if I have the seat at the height I like.

Battery Problems

I am experiencing recurring battery issues with my car. If the car is not used for about a week, the battery becomes completely discharged, and I am unable to unlock or start the vehicle. This has happened 3–4 times already. The problem first started within the first 12–15 months of ownership. When I reported it to the service team, they inspected the vehicle and informed me that the battery was in good condition and that no issues were found. However, despite their assessment, I continue to experience the same problem repeatedly. Other than these battery issues, it's a great car with excellent features and a comfortable ride.

Vehicle is sub-par.

Vehicle has too much technology. I can’t figure all of it out. The dashboard isn’t intuitive. There are many icons on the dashboard that I’ve never seen. I don’t know what many mean.

Not Satisfying

Overall, my 2024 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid is comfortable to drive and has a smooth ride. However, I have been disappointed in several areas. First, the fuel economy has averaged only about 30 miles per gallon, which is lower than I expected and lower than comparable Kia hybrid models. Second, the BlueLink system has not been reliable. The calendar feature has never worked properly, and when I contacted BlueLink Customer Support, I was told this is a known Hyundai issue that has remained unresolved for a long time. Finally, I have experienced repeated problems with the EVAP canister. Although my vehicle has not been driven off-road or through rough terrain, the canister has failed twice and had to be replaced within the first two years of ownership. I believe this component should be more durable under normal driving conditions. I hope Hyundai will improve the fuel efficiency, resolve the long-standing BlueLink issues, and address the durability of the canister in future vehicles.
