lacking some features

I do love my Santa Fe with the exception of the air conditioning - if I would have known there was no individual controls that in the back seat which is the middle seat for air conditioning and heat I do not think I would have brought this car. Yes it was available in the Caligraphy model but that model did not come with a bench seat which is absurd!!

A Favorite Ride

It's been 1.5 years and my 2025 Santa Fe XRT has been one of my favorite vehicles. It handles great in the Wisconsin winters. Even with the technology, the handling is as expected. The controls are easy to learn and access, everything makes sense with the location and how to get to what you need. It still has enough buttons in the right place to keep distraction at a minimum while driving. All of the body panels fit as they should. The interior is spacious for all passengers, including enough space for adults in the 3rd row. When the 3rd row is down the cargo area is sufficient for DIYers & hitting the sales. I love front cargo area storage and councils. The extra charging outlets throughout is a nice touch. The vehicle is usually responsive and has great pickup when needed. The mileage is improving, I have gotten as high as 30 mpg on the highway. Now for the things that I don't like. The sensor that watches the driver on the steering column. When on long stretches, I usually have my right arm crossing over and hanging onto the left side of the steering wheel. This is not a problem unless you are using the cruise. The sensor cannot "see" your face and shuts the cruise control off. The headlights took some getting at night. At night, the "H" shape is visible in the distance; the middle of the beam is lower than the sides. There are occasions where a delay, or slow acceleration when taking off from a stop -- NOT related to Vehicle Hold nor the start/stop functions. This will occur even if neither function is activated. The future loss of some app, map setting, and Bluelink settings unless paying a monthly fee for the foreseeable future while owning the vehicle. Overall this is a great vehicle and I would recommend it.

Good, but quirky transmission

Transmission shifts entirely too much at city driving speeds.

great suv

i love everything about my santa fe, hyundai has been remarkable to deal with, my only issue, is i have the calligraphy model, which looks great, tires look fabulous, but i had to replace 5 tires within 14 months of ownership. so i would not get the perilli 21 inch tires that came on my model

Concept is good but dual clutch transmission needs to go.

The overall vehicle is nice. It has a lot of room for all purposes needed. The dual clutch transmission is horrible lacks accelerating when needed pulling into traffic. It's going to get people killed cause of it hesitating to accelerate. The calligraphy is well put together except for those awful over sized rims with rubber bands for tires. You hit a pothole and have a blowout waiting to happen. The tires get bubbles in them from hard bumps. That combo shouldn't be on that vehicle for safety purposes.

Awful technology

The "take a break" feature is obsessive, insane and annoying. I can't believe I can't back up to a porch with the trunk up. I hate this car. The auto shut off is annoying. It updates the carplay at terrible times and NO I CAN'T GET INTO THE CAR AT ALL USING EITHER FOB OR THE APP OR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I AM GOING TO MISS VOTING, A DOCTOR APPOINTMENT AND CAN'T PICK UP MY MEDICINE TODAY. I HATE THIS CAR. I'M NOT making anymore payments. Come get the piece of crap.

Great car. Confusing to new drivers.

My car's locks don't work the way it's supposed to. Even the expert at the dealership was confused. It took me a year with several long trips to become comfortable with everything in the car. I hate that I have to press a button each time I turn the car off to keep it from turning off at a light. Otherwise, I really like my new car.
