A serious concern is that there is apparently a speed governor on the vehicle. I would neve use it and don't know how to engage it. But twice now it has engaged when I turned on to a higher speed road and the car would not go over 20 mph as indicated on the info panel . a danreous and frightening situation, The Wesley Chapel dealership could not explain the cause. I am forced to pull off the road and restart the car.

Never-Ending Recalls — Extremely Disappointed in My Hyundai

I regret buying my Hyundai, especially being one of the first model years. It has been a frustrating experience from the start with what feels like never-ending recalls, repeated issues, and constant concerns about reliability. What’s most disappointing is that some safety-related problems still don’t feel fully corrected, leaving me questioning whether the vehicle is truly safe for my family. When you spend this much money on a car, you expect peace of mind — not constant trips to the dealership and ongoing anxiety about what recall or issue will pop up next. I expected better quality control and better follow-through on fixing known problems. I would strongly caution anyone against buying the first year of a new Hyundai model.

Feeling meh about my purchase

Overall I have been a bit displeased with the vehicle. The AC innthe seats is not working, and I have been told its fine. One of the tires randomly had a bubble in it. It cost me $500 to fix it. Its had multiple recalls on it. The service at the dealership is not always the best experience. The value of the vehicle has declined quickly. I want to trade it in.

Loved it until.....

The car was great. Locking amd unlocking without using the key would work sometimes amd then not others. I had the care for just under 2 years and then it just died. I had to have it towed to the dealer and the part needed is on backorder. Ive been without my car for 3 weeks now and ha e no idea how long until I get it back. The dealer I go to is amazing and is where I get all of my Hyundai's so the manager got me a loaner but even that took a few days because they were out of them. I pay fpr monthly services on the car that are being wasted, so that is agitating. This is my 4th Hyundai in a row. Debating on getting the new Palisade or going to a different company.

Best Vehicle We Have Ever Owned

I've owned almost 80 cars in my life, and this one is the closest to Nirvana as we have found. Lots of power when needed, tons of room inside, terrific warranty, good dealer support locally, good fuel mileage, lots of options even though we bought the "middle" version. If this car were totalled tomorrow, my first stop would be at the Hyundai dealer for another Santa Fe just like the one I have now. Better value than a Telluride or crossover vehicles on the market right now.

Hate the steering wheel mounted camera!

Overall, a good riding, safe vehicle. My largest complaint is the steering wheel mounted camera and its inability to be disabled. I never realized how much I drove with my arm crossed diagonally across the steering wheel until I got this vehicle. Can't do that with the camera there. It shuts down the cruising system when it can't detect my face (because my arm is crossed in front of my face). It's a comfort thing. You should be comfortable while driving. On top of this, I had a very expensive pair of sunglasses that I had to give up wearing in this car because they are dark, and the camera cannot detect my eyes behind them and shuts off the cruise system as a result. I will say the Santa Fe is a comfortable ride, and had it not been for the camera, I would probably get it again. I will not, however, because of the camera.

Nice car but needs some improvements.

8-speed transmission has big problems. Dont expect to accelerate to merge, transmission has a hard time finding a gear. Instrument controls (especially the paddle shifter) are badly placed. Controls below the media center are vague and cant be easily found in the owners manual. Drivers side seat recline lever is badly placed; seat reclines when exiting or entering vehicle. Default setting for lane following on the cruise control should be "off" . Touchpad is not sensitive to touch if fingerprints are evident.

I’ve been unhappy with a sensor issue. I’ve had on that car concerning the transmission. I’ve gone back several times about that. I got a sensor issue on my car one night see that it was check my motor oil. I was having problem with the motor. I didn’t drive it the whole weekend cause I was afraid that something was wrong so they got some issues with that census on that car, but I’m not happy with. Overall, I love the car but when you’re running 75 and your sensor jump on, check your transmission and the car slows all the way down in the middle of traffic to 40 you got to pull it over to the side and cut the car off in order to be able to pull it back off. You might go another day and it’ll come back on again. I’m not happy with that.

Fun to Drive

Great vehicle so far, but gas mileage not as good as I would expect. I understand that I could have bought the hybrid model, which I would have done, but the dealership didn't have it in the color I wanted.

Not happy

We have had so many issues. From recalls on it that were never completed when we purchased. To now it says “battery discharge due to external electrical devices”. But dealer can’t find anything wrong. The fans will continuously blow when car turned off (40 mins) but dealer says it’s normal. Now the headlight has water in it.. should’ve kept my Kia Sorento.

First Time Hyundai Buyer

After driving my Hyundai for two years, i came to the conclusion that I made a good decision with my choice of SUVs. I have become somewhat concerned about the total number of Recalls?
