Great vehicle!

I was in a position to get a larger vehicle and was considering the Kia Sorento, but my dad told me to check this out. I thought it looked weird at first, but now I like the look. I had always had Kias, but Hyundai makes better use of the interior space, and this Santa Fe didn't feel so high off the ground I couldn't see over the hood like the Sorento, so I went with Hyundai. There are a few things I don't like, and some can be resolved with higher trim levels, but a $7000 different between the SEL and Limited is ridiculous, especially when there is only like a $1-2K difference between the Limited and Calligraphy. I love the large infotainment center but HATE that the climate controls are touchscreen because you need to take your eyes off the road to adjust them. I also hate that it's dual climate and not tri-climate. The biggest issue is that the driver's climate settings match the settings of the people in the back - so stupid! I drive and run hot, while my passengers are cold, but I have to turn mine to hot so the people in the back warm up. What sense does that make!?!?!?! So, the front passenger is the only one who gets a different temp? Dumb! Sometimes the vehicle surges and sort of pushes forward. I also had an oil change recently where the dealer said my tires would need attention soon, which is absurd because it's been slightly over a year and the only time I've ever needed new tires was when I got a nail. Once I get the front windows tinted, I'll be set. Also, gas mileage is less when it's cold outside, which sucks because they charge more in Ohio to register hybrid vehicles because we get better gas mileage. It took a minute to get used to the gear shift by the wiper control, but it saves more space in the vehicle.

Great but...

So far I love the car but there are few things that could be improved. - For tall people the seat belt adjustment doesn't go high enough. - Lack of spare tire makes me feel unsecured. I know there is a repair kit, but I rather swap the tire and go. - I'm not sure if it's a standard but the hybrid battery seems to be a bit small, and doesn't hold a lot of "juice". - the computer that calculates MPG is always off (higher) than the actual. - the gear stick is in a bit awkward position for tall people. Either slightly higher or center console would be great. - the touch screen climate controle is super bad. It looks nice but you cannot turn on/off anything without looking at it and carefully aim for a button. - the UV compartment is so Covid. It's cool but I'm not sure if I will use it at all. The driver chair could be slightly deeper and sodtee. - the engine oil stick keep sticking and it's hard to pull. - Lack of second row clu.at controle

Front seat belt latches are too low to access easily. Cruise control toggle switch needed replacement, was frozen. often remote fob lock repeatedly soumds alarm when activated from outside the vehicle

2025 ultimate red

It is a truly enjoyable car to drive, offering excellent mileage through its hybrid system. I have owned it for three months, and it comes equipped with numerous features, even in the base model. The color is wonderful, and I would gladly recommend it to a friend. However, after a few weeks of ownership, I observed some chipped paint on the driver's side door. I am hoping to have these addressed before any rust begins to form.

Nice Ride, Lots of space but Drive assist and need a break is a pain

its a nice ride, is a little bit boxier for me though although liked all the features, such as heated steering wheel, ventilated (heat and cool) front seats. The assisted driving/cruise control with wheel assist is a bother, it is way too sensitive and keeps pulling the car between the lane depending on how much pressure I place on the steering wheel, I tend to get tired of this and turn that feature off when on cruise control. Also, the camera that faces the driver is a bit whacky/wonky and is always telling me to take a break even after stopping and taking a break, not sure what triggers that. Plus if you have super dark sun glasses, don't bother wearing them when using cruise control because the camera can't see your eyes and will shut down and slow/stop the vehicle on the highway while going 65-75+ miles/hour which is a bit concerning and distrubing that it'll actually stop on the highway, you need to disable turn off cruise control before it does this. Also for the HEV that is supposed to be getting 35 MPG doesn't quite get that, on the highway maybe if you are lucky will average around 27-29 MPG and in city driving closer to 30-31 MPG.

Dumbest smart car

As you walk up to the door and grab handle to open door, mirrors come out door does not unlock. You press again mirrors go in…….. this is where the disappointment starts. Just keep going. I did not want this vehicle until I spent 8 hours at a dealer and could NOT leave with out it! I know your thinking what….. yes, they had they keys to my other car I was getting serviced. The regional manager and service manager thought there deals were so good and unbeatable they kept me til I agreed.

Great Auto

The SUV has so much tech. We love the cameras that allow us to see the blind spots when turning. The ride is great and our Hybrid is averaging around 32 mpg. It is very roomy with 3rd row seats. Just to name a few..

Great SUV

Perfect size for going on trips or just around town. Excellent acceleration and friendly on gas, 34 MPG. The limited edition has every comfort option you can ask for. Excellent handling In all conditions. The AWD is tracks very well in sleet and wet road conditions. Parking is a breeze with all of the cameras.
