Great vehicle and very versatile. I really enjoy it. The price was right, well equipped, and good fuel economy. A real head turner. I have not owned the Santa Cruz long enough to comment about reliability but the warranty is quite good so I am confident it will serve me trouble free for many years.

Good little pickup,

Rides good, and quieter than my Nissan Frontier I had, easier for an elderly person to get in and out of, Audio system sounds good, could be better with rear speakers, Air handling would be better if air vents had a control to adjust the amount of air thru the vents not just on/off.

Love this truck

This is a great truck if you don't need a big truck. The style is eye catching. The power is amazing. I would recommend this truck to anyone that doesn't need a large truck. It's great on gas and rides great.

Useful with great performance

Drives like a sports car but a very functional pickup for someone who only needs a truck a few times per year. Like the exterior looks and highly functional features of the nav and info system. Very intuitive and and audible nav system that is lifetime updated for the original vehicle owner. You can turn off or adjust sensitivity of the driver assist features. The turbo is very responsive with OK city milage but very good highway milage of nearly 30. For a couple of seniors, the touch screen is easy to use and the auto pairing and audibility of the sound is excellent. On multiple occasions the responsive steering and excellent braking allowed accident avoidance on the highway. Especially like the smart cruise control and the bright light dimming feature. Only 3 months into ownership but so far no regrets. Dealer was low pressure, answered all questions promptly, and was very helpful on the financing.

Absolutely No Complaints!

The Hyundai Santa Cruz is a beautiful truck. And I get 31 MPG in a combination of highway and town. The style is great and the reliability is fantastic. A great warranty too. The infotainment center is great. The other auto manufactures don't come close to giving the same flexibility and quality interface. I like the wheels and the color. Hyundai (and KIA) have the most beautiful cars on the road today.

Very nice

This is Very nice truck, good quality paint is bright and shiny, interior is comfortable and easy to read. It reminds me of the interior of an aircraft. The deck has a reasonable amount of space and storage.

Absurd warranty requirements to get an intermittent faulty screen replacement

Have an issue with a touchscreen display the blanks out frequently. Took cell phone video to demonstrate issue to dealer. Dealer said they couldn’t replace components until they could recreate issue. Each time i take it in i am without my new car for 5 hours. They may never get issue to repeat that’s why i took video. by their logic if i took it in 200 I would still have a defective car.

Disappointed with the lack of accessories that are available for this vehicle.

I would like a more robust version for off-road situations, the ability to add a winch and it should have had a trailer hitch as standard equipment on the XRT turbo (or any of the turbo versions). Otherwise, It is a nice driving vehicle and has most of the creature comforts that you would like to have in a car but also has the ability to do some light hauling as well.

expected more from hyundai for the money i spent

transmission is a mess/dct/base engine slightly weak but o.k/.suspension is great/door fit isnt flush when closed/other new santa cruz trucks on lot had the same problem.there seems to be a quality control problem at the plant.the doors not fitting well should have been seen

This vehicle is exceptional in many ways. It has less utility than my previous pick-up truck but is big on creature comfort and technology. Overall I am satisfied, but have had a dissapointing experience with the dealer and manufacturer over their failure to repair a paint defect.

Santa Cruz Lives in The Shop

Had the vehicle less than 30 days and it has been in the shop most of that time Including now. It has an infotainment issue causing it to reboot constantly and the radio buttons don’t work and the volume goes full blast and you can’t turn it down or off.

24’ Hyundai Santa Cruz Night Edition

Fun to drive and awesome styling. Hyundai would have to add more features and off road functionality for me to purchase another one. I traded in a 2017 Ford F-150 XLT. I have made some modifications to the vehicle to change the styling but in the end a lift and bigger tires don’t help if the vehicles suspension can’t articulate off road.

PROBLEMS

I HAVE A 24 SANTA CRUZ WITH 8,000 MILES ON IT AND ALMOST GOT ME AND MY WIFE KILLED. ON THE INTERSTATE AT 73 AND CARS STARTED STOPPING AND I HAD TO GET ON MY BRAKES AND THEY WENT TO THE FLOOR. IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP OVER 3 WEEKS THEY CALLED SAID IT WAS READY I SAW THE PAPER WHERE IT COST ALMOST 4,000.00 AND I GOT IN IT AND THEY STILL GO TO THE FLOOR SO I LEFT IT AND THEY SAID GUESS WE STILL NEED TO FIND THE PROBLEM. THIS IS NOT GOOD.
