A tailgate truck that looks fast and is.

This is a nice, speedy short bed truck. Its turbo charged 281hp engine can get you where you are going in a hurry. Cargo space is adequate for my needs. It is really setup to be a tailgate vehicle. An electrical outlet mounted inside a side panel of the bed can provide power to a TV. There is a drainable tub under a hatch door in the truck bed. Cup holders are molded into the tailgate. The entire bed and tailgate has a molded plastic liner. The wheel wells are flat on top to allow a sheet of plywood to sit level and act as a shelf. The speed part: When switching to turbo mode, the first thing you notice is that the digital dash display turns red. Acceleration of this vehicle is speeding ticket worthy. Passing other slower vehicles is not a problem and fun. The quick response between the gas pedal and engine speed is very impressive for a four cylinder engine.

Great car if you get can parts for it

I loved my car when I had it. Beautiful car. Lots of options that are standard equipment with Hyundai. I had an accident and my Santa Cruz has been in the shop for 8 months due to lack of parts. Consider this when purchasing

Very nice

Everything is really great with this vehicle. Much nicer than a Ford Maverick. Will recommend it to whoever wants to know. Just wish you had a dealership closer to 53950. Had to go all the way to Milwaukee to purchase it.

Santa came early this year

The Santa Cruz caught my attention in a parking lot. The sage gray coupled with the modern muscular look caused me to take a test drive. A fun, comfortable, attention getter. My Christmas gift to me.

Horrible transmission

The vehicle is fun to drive but there is wrong with the transmission where when changing from reverse to drive it stays in reverse. The sound is also terrible even with the “premium” option. The fuel tank is so small you will have a 280 to 300 mile range.

Love this trucklette

I needed a new vehicle. I saw the announcement of a the new Santa Cruz and was interested. I liked the looks of the new truck and was interested to see one. I called several dealers on my side of town and no one had one yet so I looked online to find exactly what I wanted. Finally found a dealership that got one in so I drove it and loved it. Needless to say I own one and am very happy.

2022 Santa Cruz--Best Car I Have Ever Owned

Great quality inside and out. Styling is far superior to the Ford Maverick. Where ever we go we get compliments on the "looks" of the car. This is our 4th Hyundai and have never had any problems with them.

I've only had my vehicle for about 3 months now but I couldn't be happier. I love the look, it's very stylish. It's a very smooth ride and handles very well. The engine is quiet making an enjoyble ride. I love the inside design and all the safety features.

Love my Santa Cruz

There is nothing I dislike about this vehicle. It handles very well, is comfortable, has plenty of storage. The 4’ bed is big enough for me and my needs. The overall quality of the vehicle is excellent, along with all of its bells and whistles. Mileage is as expected, but better than expected on longer road trips. I’m very pleased with my purchase overall.

This is a great CUV. Part car, part truck. Rides great and has adequate storage for my needs. Integrated bed cover is nice, but a bit stiff. Appearance is sporty and tough but also sophisticated. Great in the snow.

Santa Cruz Is An Excellent Truck

My Santa Cruz does everything that is asked of it. I can haul supplies from Home Depot in the bed. There is plenty of space to carry 5 passengers. I get about 25 mpg on the highway. This is definitely a good truck to buy.

Great vehicle

Fun to drive, tows my 4900 lbs tritoon with ease, gets lots of attention and get great mileage. The turbo is awesome for getting it up to highway speeds quickly. Suspension provides a great ride. Love it

Excellent vehicle fun to drive

During travel to Virginia and return we added just over 2200 miles on the vehicle. Adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, auto headlights, wipers, and a rollup tonneau cover that can be secured. Ride was so comfortable I actually got to see the driver attention alert pop up. Parking with 360 degree cameras is about as easy as one can make it short of a car parking itself. Turn signal activating a camera view makes blind spots a thing of the past. So on a scale of 1-10 I give it a 10+

Great vehicle however for the price it should come with better mpg and the noise level is off putting. Price was high. I change cars every few years but with the price I had to pay for this one it will be almost impossible to trade it in. I should have go for the Genesis.

Poor Quality for what you’re paying for

The Santa Cruz looks cool but it doesn’t perform as desired, it moves like a snail and. The materials used on the interior and exterior are cheap and easily blemishes and damaged. My Cruz came in with blemishes that the dealer has yet to address. The seats are super uncomfortable no seat position seems to do the trick This will be my first and last Hyundai I purchase.

Great little truck. It drives like a car and it haul’s like a truck. Has all the bell’s and whistles .

Love and Hate relationship

When I first read about the Santa Cruz I was excited. I could get a truck-like crossover vehicle that has serious towing capacity. But my journey has been riddled with bumps and problems starting with a greedy cheating dealership (Heritage Hyundai Towson, Maryland). Initially my Santa Cruz got great highway MPG up to 35mpg but after a mandatory transmission reprogramming it dropped to 25 mpg tops. This decrease in fuel economy drastically changed the driving range of the vehicle because it has a smaller than expected fuel tank. This is my 8th Hyundai since buying the Excel in the 80s and probably my worst experience with Hyundai.

Impressive vehicle

We love the styling and the combined use of an SUV with a pick up bed. It is perfect for us. I would change just a couple of items to suite me and the wife perfectly but this vehicle is the only vehicle we considered buying when we purchased it.

Outstanding vehicle and dealership experience! The only thing that I wish my Santa Cruz had is OnStar or something like it! Other than that, I love the unique shape of the SUV and pickup combination.
