2026 Palisade Calligraphy in Earthy Matte Brown — Luxury, Presence &
After driving my 2026 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy in Earthy Matte Brown for the past three months, I can honestly say this SUV delivers luxury styling, comfort, technology, and road presence in a way that constantly turns heads. The Earthy Matte Brown color gives the vehicle a rich high-end appearance that stands out from everything else on the road. Combined with the Calligraphy trim, the SUV has a very upscale luxury feel without the luxury-brand price tag.
One thing I especially love is how incredibly quiet the cabin is while driving. Even on the highway, the inside stays calm, smooth, and peaceful, which makes long drives feel much more luxurious and relaxing.
The nighttime headlights are absolutely beautiful, and the overall exterior styling gives the vehicle a bold premium look. Inside, the interior feels modern, comfortable, and loaded with technology.
One of my favorite features is the digital rearview mirror camera. Once you get used to it, it gives a very clear wide-angle view behind the vehicle. I also love that the SUV records from the front camera and functions like a rolling battery because there are charging ports and charging options everywhere. Nobody riding with me ever has to worry about their phone dying.
On the highway, this vehicle has strong presence. People move over quickly, and it definitely commands attention. I’m very glad we chose the top-tier Calligraphy trim because the luxury details truly stand out.
That said, there are a few things Hyundai could improve.
The biggest issue for me is the driver’s seat positioning. The seat itself is comfortable, but it does not slide back far enough. I’m 5’7”, and even I wish the seat traveled farther back for a more relaxed driving position. For a full-size SUV in this class, I expected more flexibility with driver legroom adjustment.
Another disappointment is the lack of lockable storage. The glove compartment is surprisingly small, especially considering how large and bulky the owner’s manual is, and it doesn’t lock. There’s also no sunglasses holder anywhere in the vehicle. I really think Hyundai missed an opportunity by not making the center console and second-row drawer lockable for privacy and security purposes.
The matte paint finish is beautiful visually, but it’s definitely high maintenance. Hyundai even provides a special hand-wash kit because the vehicle cannot go through a regular car wash. While the Earthy Matte Brown color looks stunning, it’s not the most practical option for people who prefer quick easy maintenance.
The blind spot camera system is useful, but the placement of the camera view on the dashboard screen still feels awkward to me even after months of driving. Personally, I think Honda’s blind spot camera positioning is easier and more natural to adjust to.
Gas mileage could also be better because this SUV definitely drinks fuel faster than expected.
Overall though, the 2026 Hyundai Palisade Calligraphy is stylish, luxurious, quiet, comfortable, and packed with premium technology. Despite a few design frustrations, I still enjoy driving it every day and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a bold modern SUV with upscale features and serious road presence.
