Easy charging. Very comfortable and spacious. Moderately good range and mileage per KWh. Excellent dealership support. Cumbersome doors/handles/locks. Some software glitches. Maybe a bit worried about durability

Good car to get the EV bug out of your system.

Fun and nimble car that makes maneuvering traffic a breeze, yet doesn’t quite live up to the electrifying hype that surrounds it.

Practical EV with quirks

Overall, I am happy with my first EV experience. This car is very functional and drives nicely. There are a couple of quality issues and I find bluelink infuriating.

Nice car w/ some major caveats

This car is great, quiet, needs almost zero maintenance, however, range is an issue, especially if traveling. Also, little quirks keep it from being 5 stars.

I like the car, the interior is very roomie and overall the car is easy to drive and controll.The screen is big enough but not too big like teslas, I don't like how big and distracting those are, the touchscreen work good. The best part i think is the leg room for all the passanger.

Could have been great

Very comfortable electric car that drives very well on highway and local when functional. Battery capacity is reasonable for car its size, but could always improve. We would have left a very positive review if it were not for the ICCU failure after leasing it for one year, which occurred in the middle of driving the car while on a busy road. This resulted in an unusable vehicle that had to be towed to two different dealers (one dealer said they could work on it and then realized they don't have an EV tech) and now left at a dealer for an indefinite period of time due to a replacement part being on back order. Neither Hyundai customer service nor dealer were able to explain how this situation impacts our lease and keep sending us to the other party. Thus, we are now making monthly payments for a loaner vehicle (with strict mileage limits) and not the vehicle we leased. A frustrating experience overall. Given this experience and general lack of helpful customer support addressing our questions we are not able to recommend Hyundai to others, and will likely be switching to a different automaker when our lease expires.

Where’s the back window wiper?

1) The 2024 Ioniq 5 has no window wiper for the back window which is a huge miss. I’ve heard an unconfirmed rumor that they’ve addressed this in newer models, but they should find a way to retrofit it. 2) This week started the car and it would only move between park and neutral. Could not put in drive or reverse and wouldn’t turn off. It appeared to turn off and then turned back on with same problem 2-3 seconds later. A bit scary since I wasn’t at home. Called an online car help site since it was a Sunday and I don’t have a Hyundai dealer in my city. They stated this is a known problem and I needed to call the dealer. After about 20 minutes, I got out to ensure the smart key worked and then reached in to push the start/stop button and it turned off and stayed off. Got back in and it worked fine. Will be taking it to dealer for a checkup! 3) Beyond these 2 issues, I adore my Ioniq 5. It’s an amazing car, but has 2 issues that Hyundai needs to address.

Poor service

Honestly the best car I have owned. It drives great, fantastic acceleration, comfortable, a true joy to drive. However, it has been in the shop for over 3 weeks now awaiting an ICCU with no eta for even receiving the part, and once repaired, it is the same part with the same high failure potential.

Great Ride, great range

This is my favorite car ever! The ride is very smooth and comfortable. When in eco mode, I can get as much as 325 miles on a single charge! As an Uber driver I get a lot of compliments from my riders about the comfort and style.
