Close but still has a way to go

Has a way to go to close the gap with Tesla. From not being able to use my phone as the key. The Bluelink app never works, rear hatch rattles, constant service reminder that doesn’t go away after being reset at the dealer.

Failed customer service

Failed iccu unit after replacing the main battery pack condemned. My car has been at the dealership since 11/26/2025 as battery pack is back order.

Love almost everything about the car.

My Ioniq 5 has been a wonderful car. I love everything about it. Then after having it for 15 months the ICCU unit went out and I had to be towed into the dealership. so far it has been for 2 weeks.

Better than my past three new BMWs

My last three cars were high-end 3 Series new BMWs. Though it lacks the nibbleness of a BMW, it's stability, speed, fun factor, luxury and style are equal or greater.

I love this car!

I am very happy with my 2023 Ioniq5. I honestly enjoy driving it more than my husband's Audi SQ5. My car is definitely zippier and I would argue more comfortable.

2023 Ioniq 5 Review

My family has enjoyed having the vehicle, as we have put roughly 20000 miles on it in about 18 months. It has great space for the 4 of us, and excellent technology. The process of charging both at home and at public chargers has been smooth, and the few services I've had to have on the car have also been so smooth compared to my ICE vehicles in the past.

Ioniq-5 Review

Really liked it until year 1.25 when a component failed while driving,c required a tow and was out of commission for over a month. Then at year 2 the battery died, requiring a tow and another repair. Too many disabling snafus.

Super dependable- enjoyable ride. Love the car. Have about 40k miles and it is still performing well. Mias the back wiper though especially with all the snow in NJ this month.

Great EV

No rear windshield wiper. Also my 12 V went out at 13,000 miles when I had the car just 17 months total and the week after I had a routine checkup. The roadside assistance told me the battery was dead (could not hold a charge) and thus I needed to be towed to the dealership (luckily that was covered) but then when I was there, the 12V "passed" the test so the dealer was not going to replace it. I finally was able to get it replaced anyway. I am now worried it

Simply the coolest car I've ever owned

The coolest, funnest car I've ever had the privilege to own. Space car!! The fast smooth acceleration is like taking off into space hyperdrive or something. Ha! We get over 300 miles on a full charge. Average mileage, driving the speed limit around town in Phoenix we get about 4.0 mi/kwh which makes it about $.02 per mile to drive. The utility company has a great EV plan. But the car is perfect for around town even when across town can be over 60 miles. Super reliable, zero complaints. 10/10 would recommend, as they say on the Internet.

comfortable, quiet, low maintenance, curious fuel mapping - regularly in the past or wrong direction. Fuel cost is 10 cents when charging at home for 3 to 4.4 miles weather dependent. Distance travel exposes you to 50 cents for the same mileage which is a long term issue. Also, fast charge on the road is only available at CCS1 chargers, no Tesla charging and there are more of these.

I love this vehicle, but there are a few issues and oversights.

The Ioniq 5 is overall a fantastic vehicle. It's roomy, fast, economical, powerful, and feels great to drive. It's held back by some software limitations and persistent issues that Hyundai needs to address.

Ionic 5 Limited - Great EV, Fun to Drive, Lot of Features

I have had many new cars over the years and the Ionic 5 Limited has been the most fun getting know how to use all the technology and features, but also learning to navigate the electric vehicle. We had the car for a few weeks and drove from the northwest to Arizona. The car rove through blizzards, ice storms, and extreme heat, all the things that people said EVs would struggle with regarding battery life and charging it the Ionic 5 handled everything. The Ionic 5 has a Snow Mode and drives better than our AWD SUV in the snow. It was a fun trip and Ionic 5 Limited made it even more memorable. Regarding the design, I have receive several comments regarding the design and how people like it's looks. It has been called a rocket ship multiple times. The color of our Ionic 5 Limited is shooting star grey matte finish. I feel this is one of the best color combinations and people have come up to me to asked me about the color and finish. I also love the heads-up display it great to keep up engaged on log trips and to keep your eyes forward for safety when navigating.
