On the whole I’ve been pleased with my GV70.

The acceleration is fantastic. The ride is smooth. I’ve had several major issues, all covered by the warranty, and my local Genesis dealer has been great about getting it fixed plus always giving me a loaner vehicle.

Great car! Awful dealership

We were warned before purchasing a Genesis that the local dealership was terrible. We disregarded and almost immediately regretted it. The car is beautiful and so much fun to drive. But we've had a few alignment issues that caused us to have to take to the dealership. They informed us the car we had just purchased has been in a wreck and badly mended. We had only had the car for 2 days at this point. On follow up visits they all but accused us of having wrecked the car without reporting it. Also, the rep there never seems to remember us or the many previous conversations we've had. Its beyond frustrating. We've had scheduled appointments, only to be told they wouldn't get the parts needed for several days. Even though the appointment was made weeks in advance. Then we were without our car for almost a week while they tried to figure out what was wrong with it. THEN wanted us to pay another $500 dollars just to keep looking.

Drives nicer than any car I’ve ever driven but could use some updates

I really like the way this car drives at the infotainment and some of the other features are not as good as other cars and its class. The lock/unlock on the door handles only on the front two doors, which is inconvenient. The entertainment system is harder to navigate than some other cars and it’s just far enough away from the driver that I find myself using the hand controls more than the touchscreen so I don’t have to lean forward in my seat, which could be unsafe while driving. The hands-free freeway, unlocking the trunk can be annoying since it goes by how long you’re standing behind the car and not by doing something, like waving your foot under the car. I found myself unintentionally opening the trunk from time to time. I’ve also found that unlocking the charging port is inconvenient. If I unlock the car and then open the charging door, or pull out the charger, the car doesn’t register as me getting into it, and I have to unlock the car again. Another feature that could be improved is the way the radio is laid out for the Sirius/XM stations. In order for me to know what song is on a station I have to go to the station period in other cars you can see all of the stations and what song is on that station, which is far superior.

GV70 Electrified broke down and will take weeks to fix

This morning my wife was driving my son to school just 10 minutes from our house and the car shut down. It was fully charged, but it gave an error message that said there is something wrong with the chassis. We had to have it towed to Genesis of Kennesaw and we were told they couldn’t look at it for 5-7 days. If that wasn’t bad enough, they said there were no loaner cars available until January 2nd.

Couldn't ask for more

The GV70 Electrified offers everything you would want in a SUV. There's plenty of space for everyone and everything to be in the car comfortably. The technology is out of this world, and the feel of the drive and the comfort of driving is second to none. Being that it's an EV, the pickup on it is crazy, even in ECO mode, I can easily get off a stop light way faster than anyone else. If I put it in Sport mode and press the Boost button, watch out, it's like 0-60 in under 4 seconds. I also love the fact that unlike other EV's on the market, this one doesn't have the "look" of an EV and can very easily be mistaken for the ICE version of the GV70. This is the 3rd Genesis I've owned. I was an early adopter of the brand when it was still under the Hyundai label, the first year the car was offered. I owned 2 sedans previously and this is my first SUV and first EV. When it's time for my next vehicle, I'm definitely sticking with Genesis, and hopefully getting another EV.

Can’t be fixed

The car has been in the dealer’s repair shop for 7 months. They cannot find what is wrong with the car.

Great value for the money

The car drives great and is very comfortable but there have been issues with the electronics and many recalls (like 5-10) over the past 2.5 years. The car has also lost a lot of its value in just 2.5 years and I am worried about how long it will last. I'm also very disappointed as I heard that Genesis will no longer be making electrified cars so I am worried about getting parts and service.

Fun, Fast, and (Mostly) Practical: A Great First EV (electrified!)

This car is, in one word, fun. As an EV, it's incredibly exciting to drive, especially when you push the pedal and feel the instant "boost." That immediate, awesome torque is a thrill that never gets old. Complementing the performance is a very modern and likeable exterior design. Inside, the cabin is highly functional, comfortable for four people, and absolutely packed with a ton of standard features. When it comes to the "EV" part of ownership, the super-fast charging capability is a major highlight and a huge convenience. Of course, range anxiety is real. Like most EVs on the market, the highway mileage is lower than ideal. However, for typical day-to-day city driving, the overall range is perfectly reasonable. The only minor complaint is that the front trunk is practically filled with the included charging equipment, so don't expect much storage there. Overall, it's a great EV that delivers a fantastic driving experience and great features. It's an especially perfect choice for someone new to the EV world.

Excellent vehicle!!

I’ve been driving the Genesis GV70 for a while now, and I have to say, it’s an outstanding vehicle. The performance is smooth and powerful, the handling feels balanced, and the ride quality is incredibly comfortable. The interior is on another level, with high-end materials and attention to detail that make it feel like a much more expensive car. The seats are supportive and comfortable for long drives, and the quiet cabin makes every trip relaxing. The exterior design does turns heads everywhere I go, and the interior layout is sleek and intuitive. The only thing I’d like to see improved is the battery range, but everything else has exceeded my expectations.
