Fixed electrical
My JDM car died and was towed here last minute when the original shop declined it. They found the cause of limp-mode (good-old chewed electricals!) and patched everything up.

In and out
I got a nail in one of my tires, arrived without an appointment and less than 30 min later I was already out and my tire fixed. The two gentleman who took care of me were very kind. Excellent experience!

Gave Brian my Ford Fusion to repair
I had Brian have a mechanic by the name of Hose examine my Ford Fusion to find out why my cars engine was running slow. After an inspection he said my transmission need new fluid.
I told Brian to go ahead and get new oil.
After the completion , my car ran like a new car. Congratulations to Brian and Hose.

2003 Saab 9-3
Brought my 2003 Saab 9-3 here to be fixed because the key wouldn’t turn. They replaced my steering column lock for around 1600.00 assuring me this was the problem. Well the car does start now but the steering wheel will not stay locked, took it back in and now they say it is the pin in the steering wheel??? Also the person who drove it knocked off the plastic piece on top of the gear shifter, he used some kind of adhesive to put it back on. The problem is he used so MUCH that it oozed down the whole shaft and I couldn’t even push in the button to get it out of drive. I had to have someone take off the gear shifter and pick out all the dry adhesive, this was after I called and talked to Brian about it. He asked me to send pictures which I did and discussed the pin in the steering wheel. He told me he would look into it and get back to me, he never did even after texting him. Not too happy about the whole situation.

2003 Saab 9-3

Repairs and updates
Another successful mission to Midtown Auto. I have an older Ford Explorer that needed a number of things fixed and/or updated to keep it going. Midtown always takes care of me and my vehicle. After evaluating what I needed, their quote was reasonable and accurate (stayed the same) even though they had to find a used part online to fix one older/outdated valve. Couldn't ask for better service, kept me updated throughout.

Solid mechanics and service

I was over charged for incompetent repair. I ofter couldn't find a qualified mechanic
I was over charged for incompetent repair. I often had to bring the car back to repair it. They only had one SAAB speacialist and I think he quit. All the others mechanics could not repair or even diagnose the issues. My sister had to take them to court to get her oil leak resolved. Don't walk away, RUN AWAY FROM THIS SHOP!

Bad repair, left us stranded
We were in town for a concert and started having engine trouble. AAA towed our van to this shop. They said it was a fuel injector problem and replaced a fuel injector. They said we were good to go. Leave to city to get home and same problem happens near Joliet. We were stranded at night. Eventually got the van home going very low speeds on back roads. Repair shop back home showed us that they replaced the wrong fuel injectors and there was another that was bad they didn't even find. Midtown's service manager, Bryan, has given me the runaround for months trying to get a refund. He didn't even apologize for the botched repair when I sent him proof it was their fault. They did a bad repair job and then shrugged it off when I complained. Bad shop, bad service, indifferent people. Please remove them from your approved repair shop list!
