First Day
Going home I had my first go with the auto dim in the vehicle's computer. The vehicle cannot be driven with the headlamps (high beam) in auto without this feature over ruling over your desire to keep them in high beam. The computer will go to dim upon seeing taillights a mile ahead, a street light, house lights and even light reflecting off of road signs. I live in a area with wildlife (large animals) which wonder the roads after dark. This is a huge safety issue. I have seen this issue reported on the Internet and called Subaru to have the problem fixed. They are not sure they can correct it. Enough of computers over ruling safety. For a company which brags about their safety, this caught me off guard.
Only owning this vehicle for a day, it's over the top asking me to evaluate a car I've had a day. Much like asking what do you think about your spouse after one date. I have not rated much because frankly I just don't know how it will workout in the years ahead.
