Have owned my 1999 911 for 6 years and have driven it 60k miles. I am still thrilled to drive and care for this car. At 6’6” the car has plenty room for me. I have taken several road trips that have been enjoyable and comfortable.

I love my 911 type 996. Porsche’s are fun to drive anyway but even the guys at the shop say this one runs great. There was a design flaw in the early years but I had CV Import Auto do the upgrade so it wouldn’t tear itself to pieces and it’s been running great ever since. If you’ve never owned a Porsche you’re missing out!

Wonderful but...

Be careful! Absolutely the most wonderful car I have ever owned but it took a long time to learn how to drive it. This furious little machine will snap on you if you are not careful. Seats are comfortable but can be stiff for long drives.

21 and still solid

My 5th Porsche and 1st watercooled 911 - never has major issues and all systems work great. Important to have good tech service accustomed to older Porsches to avoid dealer charges for a legacy vehicle.

Not reliable cars.

Very nice looking cars, fast and turn heads all the time. The car feels very stiff yet powerful, good performance. Maintenance, parts and service are expensive. Always take it with a Porsche professional.

Porsche 911 Carrera Convertible

Wonderful car to drive. More fun than I've ever had in a car. Buying it brought my son home for a couple of weddings of friends that he didn't think he wanted to bother with. The car was bait and it worked.

'99 911

Probably not the one of the big years for Porsche (I sought an 88 or 89 911), but I LOVE it. Handling is great, exhaust tone is great; the look is good (paint if ragged), I believe the Aero Kit enhances the appearance of this particular era a lot. I really like the car.
