Good car, definitely could be better

While the car itself is great, estimated mpg is more accurate, hybrid system is definitely better, there’s still a few things that could be better. To start is the wireless charging pad, I like the idea of it sitting level so once you get in, you place it down, the only issue is that it gets way too hot. There’s no ventilation either, plus with the placement, it sits in the hot sun so it’s already hot as is. My phone gets too hot and then my CarPlay would stop working altogether cause of that. Another issue could just be just something that’s naturally occurring with hybrid systems but on certain roads where there’s hills, if you need more juice to make it, it feels like it forcefully shifts and then gives you too much power, it doesn’t feel smooth. The next issue is something that may not affect everyone but I personally like customization in cars. The 22 Hyundai I had at least had multiple themes, one even changed the whole style. The one I have now doesn’t even give me the option to have any other custom options besides just the two styles. All the available options on their online store only go to the evs and certain models. Meanwhile all the models that get it have the same chip I do for the infotainment system so it doesn’t even make sense as to why I can’t get it but a different model with the same system can. The only supporting reason as to why this model doesn’t have it is due to it being manufactured in 2024 but the system is still the same. But if you don’t care about that, then the system and options available are good.

Great … with a tinge of disappointment

The 2025 Tucson Hybrid is very pleasant to drive. It’s spacious, comfortable, and full of amenities and safety features. Two main issues in an otherwise great car: The first is safety related, in that the only turn signal is on the bumper, which is too low for cars to see in urban driving, especially these days when drivers tailgate so closely. There is a turn light in the side mirrors but those are more useful for cars on either side of the car, not behind it. Given the plethora of lights on the back of the SUV, it’s odd that at least some of them were not used for turn signaling. The second disappointment is that the fingerprint reader never worked properly from day 1. It would work after initial setup (and re-setup!) but then stop recognizing my fingerprint. The dealer changed the unit at the first service and it worked again for a day or two and then stopped working. It’s effectively useless and Hyundai should either fix this feature or provide a refund. By not having it work properly, a much touted feature of not needing to carry a key fob becomes false advertising! I’m not sure whether the problem is in hardware or software or both, but it’s curious why Hyundai can’t get it to work since it’s old technology! Also curious is why Hyundai didn’t opt for facial recognition instead since there is a camera looking right at the driver!! Face recognition is more reliable and robust than fingerprint recognition and it is now standard on most cell phones. Either way, it should either work or don’t promise it and sell it!!

Reliability and driver assist features

This is the second Tucson I have owned, this being the first hybrid. It has plenty of power especially when both battery and engine supply the power. Great driver assist features. such as, heads up display, rear camera lane display when changing lanes, great GPS, voice recognition for locating places, heated and ventilated seats. I could go on but you have see it and drive it to appreciate a finely designed car.

Great Ride!

This SUV is very roomy on the inside. The seats are very comfortable as I have tested other vehicles. It has wonderful power and gets great gas mileage. It has an outstanding stereo. I have the SEL Convience Model!

Until about 3 months ago I was feeling very pleased with our decision.

When the Head Up started glitching we hoped it was just in need of an update. Then an update came along but it was still glitching so we made an appointment to take it into the dealership. Since it’s still under warranty we hoped we’d be offered a loaner since we were told we’d need to leave our vehicle with them for a couple of days. We weren’t offered anything and the couple of days turned into a whole week. When we were told the problem had been identified and a part was ordered, we didn’t feel we could continue without the vehicle for more days so we picked it up and waited for the call about the part coming in. We weren’t offered anything prepared to take it in early morning and get it back same day, but were told they would need it at least overnight, but no loaner car would be available to us. We weren’t offered anything put on a waiting list for a loaner but 1 1/2 weeks later still no loaner available. We’re feeling very frustrated now and thinking buying the Tuscon was a MISTAKE!

Great car overall. I have been very pleased with this car!

I was very surprised to average about 43 MPG with both city and highway driving combined. It handles and accelerates really well. This is my second Tucson. The first one was not a hybrid. I highly recommend getting the hybrid, it is well worth the extra investment. We have cut our monthly gas budget in half. It has a sunroof which has been fun to have.

very good but missing some features from the 22-24 models

I have no issue with the vehicle. there are some missing features that my 22 tucson hybrid limited had that the 25 does not have. i would like to see when you start the car it would automatically turn on headed seats or cooled seats and heated steering wheel when you turned on the car. i know it can be done through the app but most of the time i forget. also i would like to have control of the backrow heated seats back in the infotainment screen
