Get one while you can!

Amazing gas mileage. Handling with hybrid/turbo/AWD is tight. Quality and value for money at purchase is hard to find in other makes.

What do you want?

Easy to drive. Starter button hard to see because of steering wheel and washer arm. Poor mileage. Check engine light after 1500 miles. Like the many features.

Love driving my Tucson Hybrid. It is fast, smooth, with great tech.

I am very happy with my purchase and look forward to driving my Tucson every day. I did a lot of research before buying and knew the hybrid version was highly rated, but still amazed at its combination of power, comfort, fuel economy, and technology. Averaging 39mpg over the first 2,500 miles, and probably would be more if I didn’t floor it so often to demonstrate how fast it is to my friends! The transitions from hybrid to electric mode are very smooth, and it runs in electric mode a lot more than I expected (even on the interstate at 70 mph). I don’t mind sitting in long “drive through” lines anymore, because I am not using any gas. I love that the “shift paddles” provide three levels of regenerative braking (plus coasting and an automatic setting, but you also get the benefits of regenerative braking if you just drive it like a regular car and use the brake pedal. I would suggest only a few minor changes: When exiting the car, I would like to be able to lock the car with the door switch, then just close the door. I would like the hybrid version of the Tucson to be offered in front wheel drive, not just four wheel drive. This option would have better fuel economy, and I expect many buyers have no need for four wheel drive, Kia does offer a front wheel drive Sportage Hybrid, but unfortunately it is a stripped down model that many buyers wouldn’t want. I also wish I could have gotten my Tucson with faux leather seats and rear LED lights without having to buy a sunroof. It would also be nice if the Tucson had a little tighter turning radius. Other than that, the car is perfect.

I love my Tucson

I love my Tucson. The hybrid version definitely saves gas and wear and tear. I have had zero issues with my Tucson and am still so excited to drive it. I love all the tech and safety features that are included as well as how roomy it is.

Nice look; quality not so good

Feels good, but that feeling goes away with incessant updates, recalls, and defects.

Tucson hybrid best Hyundai ever

I have owned Hyundais for the last 15 years. Their quality has been great with absolutely no major problems. The Tucson hybrid n-line is absolutely the best car I’ve ever owned. It’s stylish and mechanical attributes are unparalleled to all other vehicles I had looked at. People off the streets would come up to us commenting on its appearance.

Car drives well but needs software updates to shut off alerts

Good car but here are my issues. Cruise - I come from a Honda Pilot where the cruise is basic and i can get as close to a car as I want with the cruise. I know I'm gonna switch lanes very soon so i don't need to slow down. You can't turn off the smart feature which I really don't like. Also I prefer it on the right side as opposed to left. Driver Attention warning - I mean this thing is garbage and serves no purpose for me. I have my 1 hand at 12 o'clock on the wheel a lot when I'm driving and it gives me a warning. There is no way to turn it off. I mean just search reviews on the internet and see that most people hate it. To close to car in front of you warning - If I'm too close to a car at a stop light the beeping starts and it doesn't shut off until i back up or the car in front of me goes. It would be nice to push a button and have it go away. MPG - I have basically averaged 31.5 mpg which is not what was given in the stats. Multiple people have complained about this as well on Reddit.

Hello Bruce, If you wish to learn more about the safety features such as the forward collision avoidance, or the DAW please refer to Chapter 7 in the owners handbook. The handbook can explain which cameras and sensors are used and how to adjust or disable these features. ^cc

Excellent Ride

Overall the Tucson Hybrid has been the best vehicle I’ve ever owned. The quality of both interior and exterior is superb. Even with the SEL Convenience I still feel like I’m in a borderline luxury vehicle. The fuel efficiency is amazing for this size of an SUV as well. Not to mention the smoothness of the ride!

One Glitch, Otherwise LOVE

I am very pleased with my vehicle. There was a bad wire in the dash that required replacement and was causing my heads up display and instrument panel to go out. Lucky for me they’d had a few others come in with this issue and had a wire in stock. They had to disassemble half my dash to reach it, but I’ve had no issues since.
