Saved my life

I really enjoyed my Sonata for the few months I had it. Sadly, someone T/boned me in a parking lot and I credit the airbags and overall construction for saving my life.

Comfortable vehicle that has inconvenient problems

Recirculate light on dash is barely visible during the day and it's very easy to turn AC off when changing its fan speed. Engine rumbles throughout car when stopping for stop light.

The car was a lemon.

The overall is good but it is not very reliable. I drove it 50 miles from the dealership brand new car before the whole digital display went haywire. It is not very dare when airbags and all safety features decide to malfunction in a band new car. Even the speedometer showed 0 mph when i was driving at 60 mph on the freeway.

Lacks some common amenities

I’ve been a loyal Hyundai owner since 2013 and have always appreciated the strong value Hyundai delivers for the price. I’ve had my 2024 Sonata N Line for just over a year now and absolutely love the car—it’s been a great experience overall. That said, there are a couple of areas where I feel the U.S. spec falls short compared to other markets and even Hyundai’s own previous and newer models. First, I really wish the 2024 N Line came with rear AC vents. This feature was available in earlier model years and has returned in the 2025+ models, but was inexplicably left out of the 2024 version. It’s a practical feature I would gladly pay to have installed and, frankly, one that should have come standard. Second, the digital gauge cluster feels like a missed opportunity. For a performance-oriented trim, it lacks the sporty engagement and customization that N Line owners expect. My wife’s 2026 Palisade Calligraphy even offers richer cluster options and downloadable content through the accessory store—something I’d love to see extended to N Line owners as well. Hyundai, please consider giving 2024 Sonata N Line owners the option to upgrade these features so we can enjoy the same experience as those driving the newer models.

I have had nothing but problems with this one Nothing was wrong with my 2016 Sonata, I just wanted a new one. This one scares me. Every time I turn around it’s always something.

Good not great

I love the vehicle at first, I like all the add ons. The car is very huge inside a lot of room the seats feel very nice. I like the cup holders and the little rubber parts that makes it easier to clean in the cup holders and the console. It even has a little tab between the seats making it easy to clean. The road assistance is nice keeps me in the middle took some trusting but it’s good! The high beams being automatic was also a learning curve but over very nice. What I don’t like is the automatic breaking mostly when backing up. If a car is moving slowing away or creeping a little forward while im trying to back up it jerks really hard and stops even when the car around is leaving or about 10 feet away it’ll stop automatically which is really annoying. After one year of use feels like the car is a bit sluggish now it tends to jerk when I stop and go like in a parking lot or at a stop sign which is weird I keep the maintenance up as well. During the summer the huge touch screen or dash heats up and makes it hard to use car play like voice to text and all it gets buggy. Overall the car is nice but thinking of returning it for a Tucson.

Not the best quality

So right after I got my car, I’ve had a lot of trouble with it. The driver’s door is constantly popped. I’ve had to have them replaced. Also, now, when I’ve cranked my car after about five minutes, there’s this really loud pop up under the dash. Also, when it’s cool outside my seats squeak like crazy. Also, when I locked the doors with the power lock it squeals not looking so good for only one year of ownership plus when I got the car, it had to have a windshield replaced because it had a bad spot in it and the AC controls were damaged
