Hyundai Motor Finance overpayment
I have - for the first time in my 80 years -leased a vehicle. I drove away from the dealership in the “Glowing Yellow” 2020 Sonata on September 3rd. While making my first monthly payment (a significantly lower amount than the Sonata I traded in, btw) on October 3rd. (My birthday!) I THOUGHT I set up auto pay. Apparently I did not; and as a result, duplicate payments of $162.77 were taken out of my checking account - the first on approximately 11/09, the second approximately a week later. I have spoken to customer service a number of times trying to resolve this issue. I was assured (nearly a month ago) that a refund check for that duplicate payment was forthcoming. When it didn’t arrive, I spoke with them again yesterday, December 9th. at 800-523-4030. My HMF account # is 2014648253. To my extreme disappointment, I was informed there was no record of my refund check being requested and that to RE-request it SHOULD get that check to me “...in approximately 15 business days”! That’s as good as “...wait till next year” now. Customer NON service at it’s worst.

PS - About the vehicle itself. I’m now just about at the 100 day mark and I get asked where I got the car, honestly,about every other day. It’s always the color people tell me they love first, then the overall appearance. I LOVE IT!
