Long term review
Have put 86K miles on vehicle with zero mechanical issues, just tires, brakes, filters and oil. Gas mileage has stayed consistent at lower to mid 30's on the highway and mid to upper 20's in city/suburban driving. In over 50 years of auto ownership (about 25 vehicles), this one has been the most trouble free.
My only major criticism is that the resale value (% of new car price) is considerably less than its main competition, in particular Accord and Camry. As I rack up more and more miles, this issue diminishes in importance. One other concern, which contributes to an overall lesser value due to the 2.4L engine failure/recall. While the probability of failure is low, it adds to a greater negative attitude towards all things Hyundai. Also, Hyundai (especially on US made vehicles) needs to dump the OEM Korean tires,They are really crappy, with poor thread life and a relative high blowout rate. Replacement tires (Conti, General, Michelin etc) cost about the same and are vastly superior. .
