Nice overall but a few flaws

Car is mostly pretty nice. Runs well. Good fuel economy. I was really excited about the highway drive assist cruise control, but unfortunately it is very bad and dangerous- the gaze sensor is faulty so I have to repeatedly take my eyes off the road for about 2 seconds in order to attempt to satisfy the gaze sensor. I have reported this to Hyundai before and I was given a response to change a setting which I implemented that made no difference. Feel like this is a safety recall waiting to happen! Some luxury items are starting to not work as well (the seat coolers). The big dashboard is nice but the software could be better organized.

Build quality issues, trouble w/ dealership support. Like car's design

Rear fender flares don't line up perfectly. There are occasional loud cracking sounds while driving. My son (who was under 1 years old) pulled off the AC knob in the trunk - the dealer said replacing that would be around $1,000 because they'd have to take off the entire back panel. Panels in the trunk have popped out and become misaligned several times. Rear camera pauses and glitches which can be really dangerous since you're missing real-time video of what's behind you while you're backing up. Dealer reset, but didn't fix the issue. Apple CarPlay occasionally doesn't connect or will disconnect and we can't reconnect Experienced some issues where the trunk wouldn't open - which was very frustrating and could be dangerous. Saw online that others experienced this issue too. There's a leak coming from the rear exhaust that the dealership hasn't been able to identify or replicate (somehow) The touchscreen control panel (for AC, seat heaters, etc.) should be actual buttons. The touchscreen doesn't always respond if not pressed perfectly, which is hard to do while driving and trying to keep eyes on the road. Not a lot of engine power produced by the car when it needs it. Haven't been able to hit claimed estimated MPG average of 36mpg. Sometimes the phone key doesn't work, which is a little nerve racking and makes me worried to not also have my car key, which makes the phone key thing useless.

Love this Car!

Waited forever for Hyundai to come out with a hybrid that could compete with Honda and Toyota and they finally figured it out. And I LOVE the bosy style of the newer Santa Fe. I only wish they made the Tuscon in the same boxy style. I'd like a little smaller vehicle. But I am very pleased with the Santa Fe regardless of its size.

Failed to love up to it's promise

Since getting the car just a year ago it's already had multiple recalls. The tank barely gets over 500mi, while the commercials say 600mi a tank. The paint seems to be made in a fairy cottage because it comes off with the touch of a glove. Forget about opening the hood to check your oil or change your engine air filter because closing the hood will leave a dent in it. The hybrid doesn't come with a spare tire but still has all the placements for a spare tire. The touch screen for the climate slows down considerably when its cold. The hyundai bluelink is so tempermental. Oh too many clouds today? Looks like i wont be taking any ordera for your cars start up. Taking it to a dealer for your free maintenence is fun as well especially when they tell you the next available appointment is 3 months out. All in all its meh experience. For an suv thats over $50k it seems like all these things should be better.

Ruined a great vehicle with the new styling

The Santa Fe series has featured a long line of truly exceptional vehicles - loaded with very useful convenience and safety features at a great value. Sadly, WHY did they ruin it all with the horrible exterior redesign! Simply too ugly for me to buy one. Everyone has their own idea of what looks good suppose, but the sleek styling of prior years has been replaced by Land Rover-like boxiness.

The car is mostly great, the dealer is something else.

I bought this car because my dealer (Wayne Hyundai on Route 23 in New Jersey could not fix my 2024 Tucson Hybrid. The only issue with Santa Fe Calligraphy is the tires. Low profile on a 6,000 lbs SUV does not work in NJ. Had 5 blow outs thus far (11,000 miles). Between the dealer and the extended warranty guys I will keep getting them replaced until they run out of money. My offer to split the cost of replacing them with something more road friendly met with stonewalling and finger pointing. Coincidentally, the car does not come with a spare. It also does not come with run-flat tires. I wonder whose brilliant idea was that? As for the dealer. despite the fact that they could not fix my previous car, the dealership screwed me on the trade in. I just could not afford being without a car since I use it for income. If you combine this with supply chain problems trying to buy a Toyota Highlander Hybrid and nothing comparable available from Honda (these two brands will always be my top choices for reliability), I REALLY HAD NO CHOICE. In all fairness, the service, at least, tries. Not always successfully. In the past week I had two tires replaced and oil changed. The never reset my oil change marker. The tires were not properly balanced and steering wheel vibrated at highway speeds. They put both new tires on one side. So, even though they try, they do not succeed! If I ever end up in a coma and do not need a car for a month, I want them to fix the endless chime every time anyone gets out from the second row seats. The dealer knows about all my issues and still refuses to do anything about it, so, by all means, buy a Hyundai but avoid Wayne Hyundai dealer - they just got a new General Manager and he is just as "helpful" as the one before.

This vehicle was okay but there were a few features that really did me in. The main one being the eye sensor. I couldn’t even look down to turn my AC on without it beeping and turning my cruise control off. You also can’t drive with your arm at 12 o’clock since that blocks the sensor. There was unfortunately no way to turn it off either. Another main annoyance of mine was the lack of good gas mileage it got.

Put it on the road immediately!

Replaced a 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander with the Hyundai Sante Fe Hybrid. The Sante Fe is much bigger than than my previous auto. The ride is smoother, cabin space perfect for a 6'2" frame. The dash is easy to read and I encourange new owners to get help at the distributor. The MPG on the highway is approximately 33. Cold weather released air from tires which reduced the mileage. The safety features are terrific as is the warranty. I'm a senior and this auto is perfect for entertaining or hauling lots of junk. The warranty is one of the best in the industry. I was skeptical at first but now that I've owner and driven one, I'm a happy camper.

Santa Fe vehicle a hidden jewel!

This is our first Hyundai product and we are pleasantly surprised with how luxurious this vehicle is. Great milage, comfort, and quality. We also got the hybrid and can’t believe the fantastic gas mirage we get. Amazing car!

So far so good!

My SF only has 3,000 miles on it, but so far I’m very pleased with it. Love the gas mileage on the hybrid! All the tech can be confusing but there are a lot of informative videos on how to use it. It’s not quite as upscale and roomy as my Palisade was, but it’s a nice alternative for the price.

Great car.

Great car. Tech features. Roomy. 3 row car. Space for the front driver and passenger is very great. 2nd row (in my case captain chairs are great). Prefer bench but in Calligraphy they don't offer that. Bench preferably for me. Like it.

Looks great and I feel great when I drive it

This car has been great. Great mileage, seating space is great and its pretty comfortable. I don't notice any weird blind spots, seems the big windows are very nice. Drives very smooth and decisively. So far the quality seems very nice. We have a minor passenger seat issue with the SynTex, they cut the material too much and it keeps popping out of the read panel. Still need to get that replaced. There are a few software issues on the infotainment that make it difficult to navigate and glares that are quite annoying. The high gloss touch controls for AC and fan etc is hard to see. Overall I am happy.
