Overall, the Santa Cruz is a good little truck. Note the word little backseats are small and the truck bed itself is small and doesn't hold much. The back seats are uncomfortable. Oh, and not enough room for people to get In-N-Out of the truck. The front part of the cab is great and the Bluetooth and phone and. Music is all good too

start up issue ramdomly wont start interior roof insulation foorly made back seat is stiff to seat on windshield is also weak crack right away with little rock hit it. radio and nav go off qnd you need to re start the car to get it back on

Enjoy this vehicle Were used to pickup trucks but found it was harder for us to get in and out of new trucks. We looked at this truck and found it more like a car on entering and exiting so took it for a ride. Found it was good for us so purchased it.

An Excellent, do all truck.

I have purchased 67 new vehicles and this one is well built and well designed. Many great features and good mpg. I have almost 10k miles there have been no issues except a nav update was required to stop getting other malfunction warnings. After update all is well. No complaints at all.

Decent for price, long lasting sonata led us, starter in 90000 miles . Santa Cruz new model needs shake out and recalls to fix. Too long a survey, boring won't do again..over n over and u will do zip. Enough bs

Love this vehicle EXCEPT for the locking system (it's awful & not single owner I've spoken to, of many, can't stand it either) and no powered rear window. It would be nice if they would/could provide more storage space. Otherwise a great vehicle.

Great Little Vehicle

I've had my 2023 Santa Cruz SEL AWD for just about a year now. I must confess I do miss my BIG RAM 1500, but I do not miss the 19 mpg. My little Hyundai has been wonderful with the gas mileage as I average around 25 mpg in town and 30 mpg on the interstate, and sometimes better!!! The back seat is a bit small, but it's usually just me and my wife, so we rarely use the back seats. I would buy this vehicle again as it's been fun to drive, is a real head turner, and does everything I need her to do.

Great little truck!

I absolutely love my Hyundai Santa Cruz! I have owned it for one year now and am still enjoying driving it and turning around in parking lots for s second look before leaving her behind. The AWD did great in the 18 inches of snow last winter and the moon roof is great year round! Totally recommended if you don't need a Bro-dozer or manhood compensation vehicle, LOL. Seriously if you are not towing more than 5k this is a great little truck that also fits in your garage!

Tows great - great features

Peppy, comfortable, great storage, 110 volt option, self leveling suspension. Fun to drive, great options on the Limited. The cruise control is amazing, keeps vehicle in lane & will do 0mph to whatever you set cruise on. Remote Start from app is extremely useful especially in extreme climates. Great well designed & versatile truck. 5 + Stars.

Super utilitarian

Look, I think the Ford Maverick is a better "truck" but the Santa Cruz is more car-like. It is a better day-to-day driver and the utility is amazing. I've hauled more in this little thing than many of my friends who have 1/2 ton trucks. Back seat room is a bit tight, and I hate the dark plastics, but it's a joy to drive and own.

I would buy it again

I love the vehicle! The ride is comfortable the ability to pass vehicles on the highway is it great? The styling is fantastic. My only complaint is the recall, and Bluetooth as far as getting drivers score.

Important information

A few minor things that should be addressed with the newer models. Rock chips on mirrored area of grill, bumper, and dark spot when headlights are on. Otherwise I live my Santa Cruz. Will buy a newer version of this vehicle when this one is paid off.

Hate the DCT transmission

Decent power but transmission sucks don’t understand why Hyundai still uses DCT when they know they are not reliable and very bad in heavy traffic also for the price all Santa Cruz should have dual climate control.

Great vehicle, really enjoy the utility of the truck bed. Wish it was just a little bigger in the CAB. I didn't realize it was built on a Tuscon, and thought it was a Santa Fe. Coming from a Santa Fe, it was a little smaller.

Fun to Drive

The 2.5 Turbo with 281 HP in this light truck is really fun to drive. Interior is luxurious, compares to luxury cars. The infotainment system and driver assist features are a plus for a small truck like this.

The pick-up with a zoom-zoom attitude

Extremely high on ‘Sporty’, Fun, Comfort, and Drivability … things that are needed to compensate for impracticality and limited serviceability of the smaller pickup box. In the seat and behind the wheel is a “looking forward to” experience. The only downfall of a roadtrip adventure is that someone in Santa Crus design department forgot to plan for thirsty drivers and their passengers — placement and diameter of cup holders receive a “F”.

Really good and reliable drive but it could have a better mileage and MSRP.

The Santa Cruz should drop down the price comparing other brands and also should increase the mileage system in it. I would suggest they should make electric or at least hybrid to get a better mileage.

Only minor issues keep this from being a 5 star

So far the vehicle seems great except the DCT feels like an unneeded complication. Shuddering on hills unless you’re prepared for it and it’s cumbersome to concern operating in city traffic. Add in an unexplained episode where the transmission refused to downshift allowing the engine to freely rev up to redline. Made it home by using the manual/paddle shifter method. Interior economics is great except when you need to change settings like temperature or volume. The lack of physical controls means you’re reaching blind or looking away from the road. Dealership experience has been good but not great. Part ordering can take a month to arrive. They had to replace the bumper entirely, and still waiting on clips to secure exterior passenger molding on the door. Loaner vehicles need to be scheduled a month out?? My last manufacturer could do it next day.
