Buyer Beware of 2027 Hyundai Palisade Hybrid (Do Your Research)
I bought the car on 8 August with 10 miles on it. On 27 August I had "Check Hybrid System" and "Stop Vehicle and Check Power Supply" errors displayed in the console. On 28 August I took the car back to the dealership service department (Texas) and was informed the car had Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) P0C381C. This error code was not new to Hyundai. They put out a TSB (26-01-071H) on the NTSA.gov website describing the error code and the fix specific for 2027 Hybrid Palisades. The only problem is the "fix" was limited to dealer stock (not cars already purchased by consumers). This is extracted directly from the TSB "This field action applies to vehicles pending initial retail in dealer inventory. It is strongly encouraged to execute this field action, prior to customer retail, on vehicles within 10/100,000 HighVoltage Warranty. " In other words, fix the cars that are not sold yet. Today is 12 September 2026 and the new car I purchased for $50,000.00 is still sitting at the dealership awaiting Hyundai engineers to provide a software update. Ask yourself, given the situation, is the fix for dealer stock not good enough for cars that are already sold? That might be why my car is not fixed yet, but they are still selling the cars that were in stock which encouraged dealers to execute this field action, prior to customer retail.
I spent hours calling Hyundai Motors America and the local dealership to apply the known fix to my car. They don't call me, ever, I have to call them.
