Great introduction to electric techmology

I was somewhat apprehensive in making the transition to fully electric but the Ioniq 6 made it easy. Good range, intuitive technology, ,comfort and all wheel drive security make the driving experience fun and enviormmentally impactful.. I will mevdr go back to gas

Underwhelming

It's quiet, comfortable, and stylish. It also never gets the range that is advertised. Winter shock set in this past year when the range was abysmal. I have a level 2 at home so I was never going to be at zero, but last winter I was charging way too often and now that gas prices are down, I'm definitely not saving any $$$ when I'm charging every day. And worst of all I've been through 4 tires in 18000 miles. 2 blowouts and 2 bubbles. Been driving over 30 years and only had one tire with a bubble on my my other vehicles. Glad I bought the tire insurance. But it's a major inconvenience as this vehicle did not come with a spare.

Very nice and easy to live with

This car is a good overall car. I don’t know that in a vacuum I would shell out 50k for what is really a near luxury car, akin to a Ford Taurus or Hyundai Azera or Maxima but all electric. Having the lease deal made it worthwhile.

Overall a very good car. Wish the 18" wheels were standard and the 20" wheels were optional so that SEL and limited models had longer range.

The Vehicle works GREAT, dealership, Sales and financewere wonderful!

While I really love the Ioniq 6, promised made by Hyundai America regarding charging and adapter availability are a bit skewed. I'm still waiting on my Hyundai email to allow me to order my free NACS adapter per the P34 campaign. My ioniq 6 qualifies, I'm registered with Hyundai Bluelink, and I'm getting other emails from Hyundai and their partners. I'm hoping to hear something soon. I leased in March, now its nearing the end of May. I sincerely hope this gets resolved soon.

We repkaced ourcTeslaS with the Ioniq6/

We like the car. It is comfortsble and is great around town. It has more features than the Tesla. The only downside is longer trips. The Tesla charging network is better. Waiting on the adapter

I think it is a phenomenal vehicle for what it offers, but can improve

The Ioniq 6 is very good. High Positives are the comfort, space, suspension, interior design/lighting, range, performance, charging speed, leather steering, drive mode switching, and exterior design. I have done extensive research, both before and after purchasing this car, and there are very few cars that can live up to the Ioniq 6 in the above aspects at its price point, which is a great sign since these are many of the core aspects. However, there are definitely several areas for improvement. The mids of this car are drive-assisting technology, interior materials, and storage. While the lane-keep and steer-assist are great, the lane-switch is mediocre, and there is no other support for more autonomous self driving. While this isn't a deal-breaker, if the car had better autonomous technology and/or parking assist like many of its competitors, from tesla (which is much cheaper) to mercedes to chevy (also cheaper) to bmw, this would easily be a 5 star vehicle. The interior materials are also a minimal-cost way to improve the vehicle- if the cloth-like material on the doors and center console storage was leather, the materials would feel high end, which would further justify the price-point of this car. The lows are lack of wireless android auto/carplay, lack of a 360 camera on the non-limited trim, finicky/inconsistent door locking, and a difficult-to-use frunk design. The lack of wireless auto/carplay is truly disappointing-- other hyundai vehicles that are even older and not electric have this basic feature. For being an electric, "tech-forward" vehicle from a tech-forward car company, I'm surprised and disappointed that this is a feature that was missed out on. This would drastically improve the experience and safety of this vehicle, as the USB-A wired auto/carplay connection has also been finicky despite switching cables. Next, the lack of the 360 camera is another aspect that can be improved upon; I believe that this is a basic feature that could be standard on these vehicles that wouldn't increase the price too much. This is especially important because it's not only a convenience feature, it is a safety feature as well. Our Chevy Equinox EV, which we bought for 30k on-the-road had this feature included.

Great smooth drive and power. Needs more range.

Overall, I’m very happy with the vehicle and this is my first EV that I’ve ever owned. I like how quiet it is, how smooth it is, the instant torque, and the charging speed. I do believe it needs more range. My vehicles MSRP is $47,000 but it only gets up to 316 miles of range and the usable range from my experience has been no more than 250 miles I also wish that it had some features that Teslas have. For example, the infotainment is incredibly smooth on Teslas and so is the navigation. I also like how Tesla’s automatically turn on and off lastly, the trip planning on Tesla is far superior.

My first EV and it’s world changing

After 1,800 miles, the Ioniq 6, as our first EV, has been a special car for me and the family. It feels like a sci-fi shuttle craft picking up kids (kids love it “Sport mode please!”), going to work, and playing with Corvettes and AMG Mercedes. It’s powered by the sun and gives guilt free performance while the traction control keeps the tires very much in check. Little delights abound from colored lights in the cabin, ambient mood sounds, Active sound that is lots of fun where pitch matches speed, beautiful and responsive UI (especially dark mode) to buttons where I need them and easily accessible. It’s the opposite of Tesla; the driver is centered and responded to instead of merely needing to be dealt with. My luddite wife who needed to drive the car without me coaching her was able to drive it fine and enjoyed it! The car hides its heft pretty well with its low center of gravity, even if it’s the weight of a minivan, but even if it handles well it won’t be a Miata or Sports car. It’s a grand tourer that accelerates like mad. I would probably go nuts over a N-line or N edition but that most likely wouldn’t work with the family unless it keeps some of the comfort. In summary, Hyundai knocked it out of the park with the car. It has “look back” appeal and fun less-guilt performance and comfort vibes that almost feels German. Last time I had such a nicely rounded and packaged vehicle was a VW GTI.

I love the car but the dealership/service completely ruins it.

The Ioniq 6 is a great vehicle, but it took me almost 6 weeks (and more than fifty texts and calls) to get it from the dealer after I signed my lease and now, a year later, I took the car in for service at a different dealer and asked them to check out a squeak over bumps and they told me they would have it for a couple of days. A month later I am still having to reach out to them (usually multiple times before I can get through to someone) before someone will give me an update. I love the car, but once my lease is over there is no way I will ever own a Hyundai again. Not worth it.

Learning experience

This was a learning experience. I relied a lot on Youtube videos explaining various aspects of operation, especially the different regenerative levels - the manual simply didn't explain this very well. I also ended up panicking once when the low tire pressure icon came on and I had to go to a service station to fill the tire - at my maintenance service, I was told that the tire pressure can decrease by 1-2% every month - I wish there were a way to see what the tire pressure in each tire is so that I can take it to the service station PRIOR to the low pressure tire icon showing on your screen and "insisting" the driver take care of it right NOW!

Great car!

I've had this vehicle for just over a year now. I absolutely love it. It's smooth, quiet, and fast. It's loaded with tech that keeps me safe, keeps me entertained, and keeps me and my passengers comfortable. The Hyundai Ioniq 6 Limited is a 10 out of 10.
