Great EV which is fun to drive.

I think the motor/battery/acceleration/regenerative breaking integration works well. The cruise control w distance following algorithm excellent.

Maybe not as good as the 23

We love our 26 Ioniq 5. The road noise is negligible. The battery seems better than the '23. We really miss the heated steering wheel. The screen also seems less flexible than the '23. Still mostly glad we traded, but wouldn't have expected less amenities.

Second time buyer.

I loved the 2023 I had so I got a 2026 just like it. My only complaint about the 2023 was that it didn't have a rear window wiper. You fixed that, but took way the folding mirrors.

Love this car, but one thing...

Absolutely love this car. I have wanted one since it came out in 2021. Love the look of it. Love how it rides and how it drives. I was fortunate to be able to buy one in February of 2026. I bought an SEL RWD model in White. Love the interior room, every time my wife gets in the car she says how much she loves it and the space it has. Now for the but... The cars software for the Forward Attention Warning system is absolutely awful. I own two other Hyundai models, a 2021 Elantra Limited hybrid and a 2025 Santa Fe Hybrid. These two vehicles i have not had an issue with they have been perfect, especially the Santa Fe, and it's FAW. The FAW in the Ioniq is so bad, I can't even use the cruise control without it disengaging. I have tried it with polarized sunglass, without polarized sunglass, or with out sunglass altogether and it still doesn't work right. If that could be fixed with a software update, that would be an amazing win so that I could use the car with the tech that I was supposed to get.

The HVAC control panel blue lighting is too dim to see in daytime.making adjustments very difficult.

Punches above its weight

The amount of amenities offered, especially on the limited trim, far exceed what is offered by actual luxury brands. Let me list just a few: full color HUD, glass roof, driver recliner feature with leg support, heated seats front and back (cooling too for the front seats), cool 360 camera views, remote parking (while outside of the car), exceptionally quiet cabin. This on top of the fact that the Ioniq 5 charges at well over 200 kW. As a former owner of a Ford f150 Lightning, the time saved on road trips (300+ mile trips monthly) was shocking. The ride is comfortable and quiet, setting the volume for music no higher than 10 was as high as I would go as there was no other noise to overcome. The overall design brings me back to my love for hatchbacks and the ease of moving this amount of sheetmetal makes for a more relaxing drive rather than the beast that was the F150 Lightning. If I do have one complaint is the lack of a deep frunk. The F150 Lightning has storage for days (expected as a full size pickup), but the frunk was so useful that it was a daily feature. I really wish I had a powered deep frunk that is easy to access and can store more than my charging cables. Other than the need to have a trailer hitch standard, this is by far the most bang for the buck you can get in the current EV market.

Good EV with some software quirks

The ioniq 5 is a great car and a good EV but I’d love to see software improvements such as more preference persistence between restarts, faster startup / less confirmations, the removal of the start button entirely and a more responsive phone app.

Really Cool Vehicle

This is my first EV. Never thought I would purchase one, but the dealer incentives and rebates made it a compelling offer. After the test drive, I was hooked. I love the styling of the Ioniq 5, the technology is amazing, it has great range and is fun to drive for a crossover. I have purchased nothing but Honda products for the past 19 years, but Hondas lack of EV's made me leave and walk into a Hyundai dealership... and I'm glad I did! I'm just so impressed with the packaging of this vehicle. It's very disappointing that Honda and Toyota cannot compete with the Koreans in the EV space, but they lost a customer in me and Hyundai gained one!!

My Second IONIQ 5 and Oh, What an Improvement!!

My first IONIQ 5 was a 2022 SEL, one of the first ones delivered to my state. Solidly built, comfortable and roomy. Had some first-model-year issues with the ICCU and 12V battery but Hyundai repaired all issues. The car was a joy to drive and my confidence in the brand drove me to trade in my 2002 for a 2026 Limited. The 2026 is much refined from the 2022 with many standard features that are optional in most other brands. The ride is smoother and quieter and the range is better than the EPA estimate by more than 10%. For the money, this is the best EV on the market, combining comfort, interior space, reliability, affordability and economical operation.

Superb car filled with great features.

Quiet, Smooth Riding, and Spacious. I love the feel and function of this car. It's at a great price and has everything you could want. Much better than my Tesla Model Y and my Audi Q6.
