Run away as fast as you can
Thinking of picketing the place to warn other people how disreputable they r from the top to the bottom. They sold us a car on open recall . 2 years trying to fix it till a Real Mechanic told us about the recall he was not from Patrick. EG assurance accepted the claim and they still argued with us. They gave us trouble with the car the first day when the car engine light went on when driving home. Does that give u an idea of what u are dealing with!. RUN! Now the car is not worth anything unless we put more $ into it. They are a slimy group Run!!!

Unresponsive to requests for service
It took 4 days and numerous calls to get my problem that was not fixed on 1 st visit addressed. The service agents give you their phone # for any issues but don’t answer& have no voice mail.
They wanted 4000 to replace my catalytic converter that was caused by the oil consumption issue plaguing many Hyndai’s . I had it replaced by an honest mechanic for less than 1000.

Are these Finance Managers Trained to Bully Their Customers?
My recent experience at this car dealership left me extremely disappointed by the utterly unacceptable conduct of the finance manager Roy. I must, however, commend the salesperson who was genuinely nice and helpful throughout the process.

Regrettably, my encounter with Roy took a terrible turn. After declining his insurances and extended warranties, he delivered the inexcusable remark, "you're buying a Ford," implying that I was making a foolish decision, and I was purchasing a vehicle destined for constant breakdowns. This was followed by derogatory comments about me being cheap.

The lowest point came when he callously declared, "life's definitely going to give you a hard lesson." This level of condescension and disrespect is not only disheartening but completely unprofessional, especially in a business environment. It's worth noting that the dealership records these interactions, so they possess the means to review the footage and witness this appalling behavior themselves.

He is the embodiment of why people dread buying cars from dealerships. I strongly caution anyone considering this dealership for their automotive needs to think twice, as no one should endure such unprofessionalism when making a significant purchase. Dealing with this guy was THE real hard lesson I had to deal with.

Tenable bed service
Hello! I left my Hyundai Tucson for repairs at the Hyundai Schaumburg service center! My car has been in this service center for 3 weeks now! My car has an engine problem that has a 10 year warranty! No one calls me to tell me what is going on with my car! when I call the service center no one picks up the phone! I leave a message but no one returns my call! I am outraged by the service at this service! I have been without a car for over 3 weeks now! I don't know who to turn to for help!

Sold Us A Defective Brand New Car With Extortion And A Bait And Switch On Financing
I strongly urge you to avoid Patrick Hyundai–this dealer is the epitome of a bad car buying experience.

As part of the buying process, we were shown the full price of the car which included "optional" accessories. We asked to have the optional accessories removed and were told that they weren't optional and that they wouldn't remove them. We were told by the salesperson, Josh, "We aren't forcing you to buy this car. If you don't want it, we will sell it to someone else later today." For a salesperson to have the audacity to state that tells you exactly the type of place this dealership is–not one that values the people who keep these middlemen in business. One of these optional accessories is a $400 fee to replace one of your keys in the off-chance that you lose one of the keys within 3 years of purchase. Well, wouldn't you know that $400 is pretty much the cost of replacing a key in the first place? So they're forcing you to pay for things you don't need and won't remove them when asked. All of the optional accessories amounted to approximately $1,500 of added extortion.

Leading up to the date we paid for a car we couldn't even take off the lot (more on that later), my wife and I communicated with Patrick Hyundai over several months. When our car was finally available, we confirmed via email with Patrick Hyundai that we would be offered the lowest rate of 2.79% APR financing if we qualified–the same offer that was listed on their website for our car, the 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited. Once we arrived at the dealership, we went through the financing process and were told we qualified for the 2.79% APR offer. However, several minutes later they reneged and told us that they would only give us 3.25%. We brought up the offer listed on the website (showing them from our phones the exact offer listed on their website) as well as the email confirmation from their salesperson, but they wouldn't budge. Instead, they told us something akin to "websites take a long time to update and that offer is no longer available." And again we were told that they weren't forcing us to buy the car. So not only are they extorting you, but they're providing false advertisement and lying in their communication. But they chalked this up to a slow website update and a human error in communication.

The icing on the cake? After we got through the entire buying process that took around 4 hours, my wife gets in the new car and I get in our rental car. We're about the drive off the lot and my wife tells me she can't adjust one of the mirrors! Patrick Hyundai failed to discover defects in the build of the car and/or missed this in their inspection (if an inspection was even completed–I asked to see the inspection list, was told they'd give me a copy, but I never got it). So we couldn't even take the car that we just paid for off of the lot and needed to wait for them to order a part, have it delivered, and fix the car! What an absolute joke!

Patrick Hyundai will tell you that they offered to have us drive the car off the lot that day and for us just to bring the car back in when the piece arrived. Not having adjustable mirrors is a safety hazard and they wanted to be able to say they told us we could take the car off the lot when in reality, we couldn't safely do that.

And how could I forget that they make you sign papers stating that the optional accessories were optional yet you agree to buy them! I asked the finance person we worked with and she told me that the papers were mandatory. I asked her to confirm in writing that these optional accessories were mandatory even though the paperwork we were forced to sign to buy the car stated they weren't mandatory, and she said she would state this in a follow-up email with me the following week. I knew she wouldn't (their goal is to get you to sign), and she didn't.

The whole process was miserable. Everyone we worked with oozed sleaze. The only person who was friendly and enjoyable to speak with was the administrative person.

Avoid this dealership. They don't deserve your business.

Horrible service Department
I brought a 2022 Tucson, I took it to Patrick for the complainant service. 2 weeks later my transmission is broke. Their Patrick promise, loaner vehicle is false. They don’t have loaner vehicles. I had to rent a car from enterprise. They don’t know when my vehicle will be ready. Poor management and customer service. They need to clean house.

They have zero respect for customers
My car died on 04/28/22 and I took it to Patrick Hyundai. After initial checking the representative told me it’s mostly likely the battery and will cost anything between $190 to $250, but they will let me know after further review, they will call me later and let me know. They even gave me a ride to my work!

The representative called me at afternoon and told me it will cost me $246 and asked for my approval. I approved the cost of repair. They called later afternoon that the car is ready. I asked if they can give me a ride, they said unfortunately it’s not possible today, then I request them if I can pick up my car next day and I also need a ride. They told me not a problem, just call in morning and ask for a ride.

Next day Friday morning after 8:00 I called for a ride, some one took my information and let me know that he will come to pick me up soon. I waited for more than 30 minutes and called back. They says oh we are so sorry currently we don’t have any ride left until the afternoon! And they don’t know who I spoke to! Worse customer service ever. This is the second time I had similar experience with Patrick Hyundai. If you can’t keep a commitment why make one?


I took a taxi to the dealership, and guess what on top of this they changed me $270 instead of $246 that they asked for my approval!

They have zero respect for the customers. Most horrible customer service. NEVER going back again.

Wrong oil used for "complimentary service"
I had my 2022 Tucson Hybrid serviced here at the end of March. I brought in my Tucson in for it's 1st "complimentary service" well I wish I would have taken elsewhere and if you came here to get you "complimentary service" done here you will want to read this and take action as I had to here.
After gutting my vehicle back, I was reading the service order and read that 5w30 oil was used instead of the required 0w20 that is stated on the oil cap and user manual. I told the service writer of the mistake and he brought out the service person in charge of the techs, and told me that "Hyundai does not pay us to put 0w20 oil in complimentary service, so we use 5w30". I was shocked at the admission, and told me that they would gladly drain the oil and have me pay for the correct 0w20 oil that is required otherwise they could not do anything about it. I informed of my displeasure and that I would take it up with Hyundai Customer Service, so that I did. On my drive home I contacted Hyundai about what happened and opened a complained case against the dealership for improper service done to my vehicle.
After HCS contacting several dealerships regarding this issue with my concerns (including Patrick Hyundai), I was contacted by Patrick Hyundai's Service Manager, Jim Gruman regarding my concerns with the way my vehicle was serviced and what was apparently was done wrong, as he agreed that they messed up and to bring in my vehicle to put correct oil in it.
Just last week 4/20/2022 took my vehicle back into Patrick Hyundai to re-do the oil change with correct oil 0w20. Be warned if you have gotten "complimentary service" done here please look at your work order it will state what weight oil was used, verify that the correct one was used if not please call Hyundai Customer Service (800-633-5151) and state your concerns. If nothing is said nothing will be done to correct the problem.
