A great vehicle with a few quirks

Extremely designed The engineers at Hyundai are doing remarkable work

This car has better traction than my 4x4 dodge ram 1500. Tested side by side in a blizzard in Tahoe and this gripped black ice like it was Velcro. The creature comforts are top notch, my only complaint is that my shoulder measurement is 48 and the front passenger seat causes my back to cramp on long rides if i dont fill the bucket gap in the seat with a pillow. But this is an amazing car and I believe any negatives only apply to a very small percentage of the population. My Fiancé LOVES it(Its Her Car).

promise but misses on so many levels

Love its electric, but the programing misses on so many levels. The auto brake hold doesn't let go soon enough not to cause the car to snap forward. Backing up, the car sometimes just will not move. you have to put the car back in PARK then drive to get it to move. if your in traffic its very dangerous. The rear cross traffic detection is so seriously flawed as to be dangerous. if you turn off parking sensors they turn back on the moment you stop. if your backing out of a parking space you need to stop before proceeding with turns them back on. So many software flaws the usability is hurt.

You Need this Car! I Love It!

This is a great EV! It is super quiet, so smooth, the features are well thought out, and the ease of having an EV and NEVER having to stop for gas is a WIN-WIN!

Leased vehicle review 11/25

Dislikes: 1)in winter/snow the recess behind the door handles fills with snow and has frozen the doors shut so we can’t get in.2) rainy weather: the side-view mirrors develop beads of water that prevent us from seeing anything at all through the mirror. 3) you can’t easily add a phone holder 4) it is often complex to figure out how to modify features ( we often have to review YouTube videos).

Love my 2024 Ioniq 5

Only real downside is that I got the matt finish, and it is too restrictive. Other small annoyances: - no wireless google auto (easily fixable aftermarket) - little built-in storage (easily fixable aftermarket) - no backseat handrest/cup holders (not-easily fixable aftermarket)

Excellent Car

So far this has been a great car. It is deceivingly spacious, has plenty of power and is a joy on long trips. This is our first EV and we have had zero complaints.

Love this car - Just Fix ICCU

Great car. Drives like a dream. Just fix the ICCU issue. I'm scared to own this car long term because it feels like that could be a multi-thousand dollar issue that could leave me without a car for weeks at any moment. Also the 12v system seems unreliable.

Almost perfect. Fixed later

The SEL trim was almost perfect. Some weird placements like the wireless charger being at the bottom which they fixed in the newer model. No rear wiper which they also added later on.

'24 Ioniq 5 - Limited

My first EV and overall, possibly the best car I have owned. I thought I would miss rear a view wiper, but as someone posted - use your side mirrors as that is what truck drivers do. With this in mind I don't miss the wiper, and I keep a bucket with water in my garage and after brushing the accumulated dust/dirt I wipe clean with a cloth. While not totally over range anxiety I have taken numerous 700-800 mile road trips navigating two lane secondary roads, planning my route and always managing to re-charge between 20-40%.

Good value and fun to drive

Overall I like my Ioniq 5. I think it is a good value for the money (with incentives I paid approximately $35,000). It's a lot of fun to drive. The light color interior is peaceful and has held up well to stains. It's also very comfortable to drive/ride in. Some of the assisted driving features are annoying and warnings go off unnecessarily. There is a squeak in the trunk at low speed that is very annoying. I've tried to get it fixed but the fix didn't work.

Great car that is fun to drive and holds a ton of cargo!

For a small/medium sized car this car outperforms many in acceleration and very economical to operate. Surprisingly the small vehicle can hold a ton of cargo. The backseat can slide up or back and very flexible.
