My GV80 is a very quiet and comfortable ride.

I enjoy my GV80 every day. I wish the smaller engine had a little more power, but it get nice fuel mileage for me at around 23 MPG. I wish the Qi phone charger had a better location, but with the wireless connect to my Car Play, I get along just fine. It is a smooth and quiet ride.

First Genesis

Awesome vehicle, best value for my money, not overly priced like a bmw . I was considering buy a bmw but they insist on charging you for every feature, knowing the vehicle won’t retain the purchase value the following year!

Love my GV 80

The unique style and comfort of my GV 80 is what attracted me to this car. I have had my car for almost 2 years now and I still love it! My warranty is unmatched and I only experienced 1 service issue that was immediately addressed. I receive compliments all the time on how attractive the vehicle is.

Nice SUV but some important features are sub par

Very nice exterior and interior styling and materials. Power train is effective, smooth and there are many nice details and features. The Forward Collision Avoidance is sub par, the GPS mapping lacks detail street names, the door locking is cumbersome and the software has frequent faults requiring the vehicle to be turned off and restarted.

Overall, very nice for comfort while driving and riding as a passenger. They are quite expensive, have issues with tires going flat, when system updates occur misses up all settings

Still Love It

After a year and a half, still like the GV80 very much! Comfortable, responsive, great ride. Only negative (which is really a minor annoyance), is when changing the temperature using the dashboard dial, 30% of the time, I inadvertently tune on the seatwarmer.

A fun drive with some caveats

PROS - Terrific handling, well appointed interior, excellent sound system, quiet / powerful engine. Relatively unique / special on the road. Matte paint finishes are stunning. CONS - Mediocre fuel efficiency, the the most responsive touch screen, USB ports versus USB C ports, interior colors could be a bit more refined, no third room as an option on many higher end builds.

Nice, but not competitive with German competitors.

The warranty is nice and this was a big selling point for me. Good thing too, as I write this review, the vehicle is having the transfer case replaced at 30k miles. When things are functioning they are doing well. The larger 22" wheels makes for an uncomfortable ride on less than perfect roads and does not ride as smooth as the lower trim smaller rim. Expected. However there are things that could have been done to give it a true premium experience. The audio system is also lacking and does not deliver full sound in the cabin. Feels like the music is coming from another room. The safety features can be a pain when you are driving 65mph and the vehicle decides that a bird flying by is an obstacle to be avoided. Created some very dangerous situations. Would I buy this vehicle again at the price point I paid, nope.. even if it were cheaper I'd probably go a different route. The gas consumption is also a bit of a wow. The efficiency has room for improvement. I like most of the features and overall a well put together vehicle, but not in the top five for me. Service is reminiscent of the old Hyundai brand. Vehicle is in the shop right now having a transfer case replaced and no loaner vehicle was provided. The last time it was in the shop for general maintenance, they lost my wheel lock and the advisor I was working with didn't relay this info to her replacement.
