Acceleration issue

After about one week of ownership I was turning left onto a four lane highway which required me to cross two lanes of oncoming traffic. I looked in both directions and when I deemed it safe to pull out, I pressed the gas pedal down to cross the road. The car accelerated very slowly for a moment before picking up speed. I had a very bad moment watching oncoming traffic coming at me while my car would not accelerate. It was frightening! But I didn't want to believe what happened. I loved my new car and I thought it must have been my imagination, or somehow my fault. Sadly, it wasn't my imagination. I brought it to the dealer and their analyzer showed no issues with the car. The dealer told me that they reset the computer, and the car should be fine. To summarize, the car continued to have the same issue, but on January 22, 2026 the car started but ran very rough, and would not accelerate more that 35 miles an hour. The car was towed to the dealer where it remained for nearly three weeks. The dealer recommended that I "escalate" t my case to Genesis, which I did. Genesis rejected my case, and I hired a lawyer. As of this writing, I have owned a car for three and a half months that I don't drive, and I have spent $3,000.00 in legal fees. I love the car, and I want it fixed or replaced. Please help!

Almost perfect

LOVE my G70, but for 2026 I wish there were more tech options as in wireless Apple CarPlay and fully digital dash screen. Steering wheel could be improved to feel more high quality and luxurious and bring back the powered trunk! Otherwise this vehicle is a dream. I’m very happy I chose the G70 over the Audi A5

Great Car, but the service / owner experience is awful

I do like the vehicle itself. It drives well, performs exactly how I want it to, and delivers the kind of experience I expected when I chose Genesis. From a product standpoint, the car has been solid. Unfortunately, my experience with the dealership has been the complete opposite. My most recent visit to Genesis of Virginia Beach has been incredibly frustrating. I had a 7:00 AM appointment scheduled over a week in advance for an oil change, along with a confirmed loaner vehicle. I even called the day before and was assured everything was set. When I arrived, I was told there were “issues with loaners” and none were available. No one called to notify me ahead of time, which resulted in me wasting time and gas for nothing. I ended up having to come back later and drop my vehicle off anyway, and the experience only got worse from there. When I picked up my car, it was filthy on the outside and the interior smelled musty. That is completely unacceptable, especially for a brand that positions itself as a luxury experience. On top of that, the service department is extremely difficult to get in touch with, communication is poor, and loaners clearly are not guaranteed even when explicitly confirmed. At this point, I’m not even confident my car is in better condition than when I dropped it off. To sum it up, I like the Genesis G70 as a vehicle, but the dealership experience has been terrible. A luxury brand should come with a matching level of service, and that has absolutely not been my experience here.

The 2026 loses features from 2023

I do love my Genesis but I hope the manufacturer hears this feedback. Simple things like a button inside your trunk to shut the trunk was taken away from the highest trim level that they offer. I have had this feature in the last three Genesis models I had (17 G80, 19 G70 and 23 G70). They also took away the suede headliner, which was a great detail about the vehicle. Hoping that they don't keep going backwards with creature features. After years, they changed all of the buttons on the steering wheel to the opposite side?? Why? The vehicle is gorgeous and drives great, so there is that! The key doesn't always unlock the door which is really annoying. It has happened in the last two G70's and the GV70 rental that I used out of town, of course the first step was to try and change the batteries in the fob but it just doesn't always register and I'm a person that almost always has my hands full when approaching my vehicle.

good vehicle held back by legacy old software

Overall solid vehicle, good handling, good feel, good driving experience. This is offset by the sluggish 1990/early 2000s user interface, it is sluggish and non responsive, coming from a Tesla this in particular is extremely noticable.

Good Car that Can Be Great

I love the car, it’s a fun car to drive but there are a few things that have impacted my experience with the car. The break dust from the brembo breaks is quite extensive. I have also experienced issues with my sunroof not opening and working erratically. The car has just over 3,000 miles and I’m getting vibrations when using the brakes. It’s surprising that I would be experiencing all these issues on a car the has that low of miles and only for 3 months.

Vehicle Does Not Meet The Name Genesis

Disappointed upon leasing set vehicle; been a Genesis customer for a number of years and was surprise on the product. We had previously leased a 2023 Volvo XC60 and was better equipped. Though the price on the vehicle is a little less than the Volvo; G-70 failed on equipment etc.

Unexpectedly wonderful new car!

I love just about everything about this car. It's sleek, beautiful, and has plenty of oomph when needed. My only 2 gripes are that the infotainment system is a little outdated (which is pretty much nullified by using Android Auto most of the time), and that I hit my head every time I try to get in or out of my car too quickly. That's a me problem, not a car problem.
