Meets my every needs, don't make 'em like this any more
I've owned a series of Ford Rangers since the early '80's, always the 4.0L V6, extended cab, "XLT Trim", some "off road packages", always been very pleased, they ceased production in 2011, when brought back in 2016? they are no different than all the other GIANT quad cab's w/short beds. The old style extended cab w/long (6') bed meets my every needs, for carting around 4 x 8 sheets of drywall & plywood (I do handyman stuff on the side), to camping out in the bed at music festivals & when on the road (shower at truck stops, no need for pricey motel rooms), the 6' bed fits my 6'-2" body fine. Am preserving this 2011 model, it's a cream puff, try to use it gently, keep everything in top notch condition, hopefully the small pickup w/beefy engine makes a comeback, I hear it's because of emissions requirements, big trucks are exempt for farmers & contractors / commercial uses but now every paved surface cowboy has to have one so they can park across 4 parking spaces at Wal Mart. Sad.
