Very disappointed
During my recent service visit, my experience was not so good. I brought my Tucson in for an oil change on November 3rd. To my surprise, the service advisor told me I needed front and rear brakes. My brakes were not making any noise, no squeeks, no nothing. However he insisted the brakes were worn and all needed to be replaced. He said the cost would be $643.24. I told him I didn't have money for that right now. I'm not working since COVID-19. However he insisted they needed to be done but he could offer me a credit plan. Monthly payments of $62.39 plus $52.15 down. I didn't know that this credit was going to cost me $105.47. I was unhappy, but he convinced me I needed all my brakes replaced.

When I got home and reviewed my receipt, I found that the service advisor flagged my account in your system with a note that said: Due to age/mileage/condition of vehicle Napleton West Palm Beach Hyundai will not be held liable for additional mechanical issues that arise during or after original repairs are completed. He didn't tell me he was going to do this, and I felt like he conned me.

The next day I returned to Hyundai and saw Mr. Palermo. I questioned him about why he flagged my account in this manner. He told me, oh don't worry, that's just standard for cars over 60,000 miles. It means nothing. I said, if it meant nothing, why would you flag my account this way? My car is in excellent condition. He told me he had no choice in the matter. The computer does it automatically.

Let me tell you, I feel like I was conned. I don't believe I really needed front and rear brakes, and I feel flagging my account without even telling me was wrong.

Money is very hard for me because I can't work due to COVID-19. I didn't need to spend all of that money. I even suspect I was probably overcharged.

Up to that time, I was loyal and always came to this facility to service my car. After this experience, I probably will find another place to service my car.

I'm sorry to complain, but I really feel I was conned.

After voicing my displeasure in survey after recent service appointment, Armand Guynup contacted me directly and apologized for concerns expressed in my survey. He impressed upon me that wanted to kep my business and established some future maintenance services at no cost to me. I was impressed that someone from Napleton West Palm Beach Hyundai responded and followed up from survey and made every effort to satisfy the customer. I will continue to have my motor vehicle serviced at West Palm Beach Hyundai.

New ride!
It was such a good experience. This is the second time with this dealer. Jason was my sales guy, and it was so nice to meet him. He understand my needs and was able to help me with the best option. Very courteous and I never fell I was obligated to make a decision like with other sales guys, that makes the experience not positive. I did a trade in with an Elantra and came out with a Tucson. So happy with my new ride!.
