I don't know what I would drive if something ever happened to it
I purchased my 2000 for both wagon Jetta TDI from a private party in Sandstone Minnesota. Since the day I drove it home I've loved every moment in the vehicle from the simple controls to the heated seats and leather. I have spent more in repair and maintenance than what I was used to with prior vehicles but wow have I been rewarded with fuel economy. Nothing like spending a fraction of what I used to with my gas vehicle on fuel. I have two young children under the age of five and every dollar incentive matters when it comes to budgeting for fuel we used to have to think about road trips and will how much it was going to cost. But with the purchase of her used 2004 Volkswagen Jetta TDI (diesel model) we no longer even consider fuel in our budget. The change in your pockets from an outing to just about anywhere will leave you with enough for a half a tank or better. No vehicle I've ever owned in my life has ever impressed me so much when it comes to saving me money. Aside from the cold weather issues that you can easily prepare for by purchasing the proper additives and/or fuel to combat gelling there really is no reason that any person would want to drive anything else. I do not have all-wheel-drive therefore I can accelerate as quickly as other vehicles that have four-wheel-drive but, this vehicle does very well in the snow with snow tires. this is more of an issue just living in the Midwest any other region in the United States would not care about drive-by do I need those things but even that considered I don't know what you could possibly replace this vehicle with that would do the same things for the same or less money. Screw the EPA and their findings this vehicle is worth every dollar I paid for it and then some. Doesn't make sense I use 4 barrels of oil per year against a gas comparable vehicle that uses 10. Simple math would suggest that my vehicle is still more environmentally friendly then a vehicle of the same size and weight in a gas model. Love my VW!!!
