Wonderful automobile

In my 65 years I've owned many automobiles. This one is the best, and it's for many reasons. First among them is I've never owned a car where I get up in the morning and one of my first thoughts is...I get to drive it. I've owned other sports cars, but to me there is just something special about this car. It was designed by people who are passionate about driving. The fit and finish, the driver position, how it handles, how it sounds...I could go on and on, It's just a well engineered machine. I now understand why people have such a passion for them. In my mind these cars are made to be driven, not hidden in a garage. What is key here is these car must be properly maintained. If you do that, you'll have a reliable car that you are proud to own.

I've owned a few cars...this is my 15th, and I look forward to driving this car like no other. I now get what all the fuss is. Porsche's racing heritage and passion for driving is evident in the cars they design and build. I've never been as proud to own a car as I have this one.

I absolutely love my porsche Boxster S. Its my second porsche and im sure it wont be my last...i actually prefer the boxster s and cayman s to the 911 because I love the mid engine layout. Giving you alot of extra room up front in the frunk.

My Weekend Ride

I bought my 2011 Boxster 18 months ago as my weekend car. I was originally looking for a good used Carerra 4, but to no avail. I then turned my search to Boxsters. This is the third Porsche I have owned. All were fun; a '71 914-4, an '86 944 Turbo and now my current 2011 Boxster. My Boxster is Guards Red with lots of nice-to-haves like satellite radio and sat navigation. It had one previous owner on a lease, was in pristine condition with just over 10k miles on the odometer. I now have just over 12k mile on it. When I take it out on weekends, the roads near where I live are a perfect match for challenging the handling characteristics of a mid-engine sports car - lots of twisty turns and dips and hills. Second gear in this car can handle any curve I encounter, with full control across all 6 gears. Nothing handles like a Porsche... It is also the perfect car to drive to car events like Katie's Cars and Coffee in Great Falls, Virginia on Saturday mornings. R. Petrie

2011 Boxster

Over the years since 1969 I have owned 10 Porsche's, from 356's (3) 912, 911 T, (2), 911 SC's (2), 930 Turbo, and now this 2011 Boxster. They have all been great sports cars, but the Boxster is by far the best overall drivers car. Wonderful responsive power, super cornering, the best of braking, color and looks that are amazing, excellent fuel mileage, kind of a throw back to the very early Porsche's in terms of a reasonably small, 2 seat sports car, at a fair price. It's a keeper.
