We love our Leaf

We have had our Nissan Leaf for about three years and have only needed service once, for a minimal issue. We love not burning fossil fuels when we drive- such a great feeling not to be adding toxic fumes to the air every time we drive to town for groceries!

I LOVE my Nissan Leaf but HATE the Nissan Dealerships!

My Leaf is my first EV and I will be purchasing new EV once the market gets them back in stock. I will however NEVER go back to a Dealership to buy one. I've learned a valuable lesson and will go to a Auto Broker. (they don't charge you - they charge the Dealerships) who will get your desired vehicle at MSRP or below. No haggling - you actually get a call from them when they find your vehicle and all you do is sign the papers and your car is delivered! You have no contact or pressure from the Dealerships and you pay for ONLY what you want without the pressure to buy Gap insurance and all the other crap they beat you down into buying!

Love My Leaf

The Leaf is fun to drive! It has great acceleration! Drive one if you don’t believe it! Since I bought it in 2017, I have only bought tires, NO oil, filter, gas, tune up!! Our electric bill has only gone up by small percentage, not really noticeable. Range is more than 120 miles per charge with regenerative braking. I can drive around town for almost a week on a full charge. The new models have much better range. This is not a road trip car, but on gas savings alone I’m almost to the break even point!

Great (and cheap) for around town.

My 2017 Leaf is great. Range is around 100 miles (with the 30 kWh battery) but varies on driving speed, HVAC usage, highway vs city streets. It is a fantastic option for my 25 mile round trip commute and as a vehicle to run errands near home. Charging stations are becoming more common for the times I do need to use one but charging at home is by far the cheapest place to charge and I can drive for about $0.03 per mile (fuel only price) without changing driving habits and can do better if I try to drive more efficiently. The biggest con is highway range drops 70ish miles (with no heat or AC running).
