Its the little things...
Bought a 2018 Armada Platinum for safety features and comfort. In those areas the vehicle has not disappointed me. It rides well and has plenty of power. It is nicely appointed and after having put 35K miles on it everything still works great. It has probably made me a safer driver (always use blinkers, maintain safe distances etc.) as the car gets annoyed and beeps at you for any number of safety infractions while you’re driving. It is a gas guzzler, but I knew that going into it. Suspension and handling are good, what I would expect from this type of vehicle. Let’s face it, it will not handle the road with the prowess of my Cadillac CTS, but then my CTS wont go through streams and down fire trails either. Problem wise, minor issues. 1. The crossbars on the luggage racks had a horrible wind noise on the highway. Solution: I removed them; no noise. 2. External temperature display is buried in a submenu of display options for driver dashboard info. If you want a display that has other info than what comes up on that submenu along with the temp, then you loose the temp display. Why not just make it a part of the NAV?entertainment screen so it is up all the time in some out of the way corner? 3. For all the conveniences and cost point, it is less than useful with cell phones. Apple Play should have been a feature as well as mobile hot spot.
