Love the car. Very versatile Sports hatchback, 2+2 mini rear seats and Corners well. Has a nice mean Rumble, that gently growls.
The only reason for not giving it 5 stars, and I knew this from when I bought the car brand new in 2006, is that the serpentine belt runs everything from Power steering, AC compressor, alternator Etc. The compressor has been replaced every 10 years so I am now on to my third. Number one being the original. The timing belt was also replaced as predicted. But my mechanic must have used a substandard one which went after 20,000 miles. So next time, I'll be going to the dealership which would have charged at the time $500 instead off $1,200 at my mechanic 10 yrs ago.
Now that the car is 17 years old, the fiberglass/plastic covering to the front pillars have gone brittle and broke by simply leaning on them. Similarly, the door handle/ plastic broke. Plastic tubing to the windscreen washer need replacing. At 15 years, the headlights were replaced at $150 each because the plastic was beyond repair. The car now looks absolutely brilliant but could do with a new coat of paint.
I'm very happy with the car and it's going to be really hard to say goodbye to my manual/ stick shift. My next vehicle will be all electric, God willing.
