Also own 2006 xkr and am enamored with the supercharged v8. This particular vehicle is superior in every way, and they got everything absolutely perfect on this one.

I love the design which has not been replicated. Jaguar should re-introduce the design. Although repairs & service are pricey, the enjoyment derived from the car justifies the needed expense. I wish that Jaguar’s present owner would re-introduce the design but with front wheel or all wheel drive NOW!

Love the car, smooth ride, agile, quick, comfortable. Had issues with air suspension, changed to traditional shocks. Otherwise I love the car. Would purchase another one and keep as a classic, old body style.

Things that need improvement
Initially was impressed in the style and head turning design. As time passed there were issues with the outside road noise along with and unforeseen problem with my automatic park break locking up. It eventually resulting in just letting this brake be left open versus have it replace because there was no assurance that it would not fail again. There appears to be no real logic to having this feature on the car. Later I also had a problem with my thermostat which resulted in not just replacing a thermostat but the entire housing had to be replaced because it was manufactured with both made as one unit. This resulted in having a leaki in my manifold. Causing me to get a very expenssive full pledge tune-up. The cooling system Is far from being good. Maybe because of the black interior.

Beautiful, Comfortable, Luxury Cruiser
Overall my 2008 Jaguar XJ VandenPlas has been an excellent luxury car choice. Repairs and service can be expensive HOWEVER much less $$$ than making car payments on a newer vehicle with less comfort, features, and elegance. I've owned this Jag over 7 years and hope to do so for at least another 7 years.
