great car with a few nagging issues
I love driving this car. I love the nimbleness and pep that this car brings to the road. But as fun as this car is to drive, the nagging issue that are not resolve and the support of Hyundia customer service make this purchase a big regret. First the lane assists not working when you dump the stock Pirelli tires. What we discovered, is the road noise of other tire manufacturers, make your vehicle think there are other vehicles on both sides, making the turn signal, a constant chirping in your ears. Hyundai's only solutions is going back to Pirellis. I have spoke with my dealer and customer service. Hyundia customer service is rude and useless. Dealers service has great but still have no solution and states they are waiting on Hyundia for a fix.
2nd my horn stopped working at 20 to 30k miles . The horn was replaced, and the issues is back after 64k.
3rd, making appointments with any Hyundai dealers is an act on congress. they are always booked. I only have this issue with Hyundia. I have very tight schedule. I never have issues with my Nissan service dept.
4th, the tire repair kit is a cheap way to Hyundia saving money. I used it and it did noting form me. I had to call roadside assistance. I then asked my dealer to install a spare tire kit. The dealer purchased the so call kit but a year later when I had a flat tire, and realized the tire would not fit over my brake calipers. Now I'm angry. I'm on the side of the road with a useless spare tire I purchased from my Hyundia dealer, at a premium rate. Come to find out when I go back to the dealer, Hyundia does not make a spare tire kit for the Veloster N. I had to purchase an aftermarket spare tire. I'm still waiting for Hyundia to reimburse me after 6 week of turning in receipt. So I would think Hyundia maintenance dept should know their vehicles, right?
