Tucson owner's review

Car is very easy and safe to drive. Dealer not as helpful as could be. The one time that vehicle died was very disconcerting especially since the dealer could not determine the issue that caused the malfunction.

Overall satisfaction

2 issues resolved in the 1st year by Hyundai service. Vehicle would not shift had to be towed to dealership. Dealership unable to recreate issue. Google searches revealed known problem with no known fix. Just when it happens pull the fuse for the transmission located under the hood in that fuse box. Issue has not repeated itself. 2nd issue oil pan gasket not installed properly at the factory not enough sealant applied by the robot. Another known issue that was revealed during a google search.

I absolutely love my car. I love the way it looks, the way it drives. I love the heated and cooled seats. What I absolutely hate is when you back up it has the most annoying beeping noise. I mean over the top annoying. I've been told by law they have to have this noise because it's a hybrid.

We leased the Tuscon and decided to purchase it early. We like everything about it except that the drivers seat doesn’t adjust to individual keys. But 10K more for that didn’t make sense to us.

Excellent performance

Although it’s a bit pricey for me, my Tucson Plug-in Hybrid 2024 still feels brand new after a year of use. Its overall performance remains excellent—just like a new SUV.

Pretty good - but a pattern of technology issues.

We've enjoy our Tucson PHEV overall - it's comfortable, easy to drive, plenty of room for us, and we like the hybridity. However, we've had several technology issues in a short period of time. First - our center console/touch screen stopped working just 5 months into owning the vehicle. (Maybe that's why the finance guy REALLY encouraged us to get the extra coverage for that?) Then 4-5 months after that, we learned that the charging connection was not working and had to be replaced.
