My Sonata

Rate above average. Windshield wipers are the worse I have ever had on any of my cars. Smear across windshield. Never clear the windshield without leaving streaks across it. I have to wipe the outside windshield in order to remove the streaks to see clearly. Even after cleaning the wipers by hand, streaks are always left after using the wipers.

Constant problems with brand new vehicle

Right after getting the brand new Sonata, the gas tank door was faulty. They ordered a new one and when they went to put it on, they said it was faulty so I had to order another. I didn’t bother telling them, but this one does not work right either. I am tired of taking my brand new car in for problems on a brand new car. Shortly after gas tank issue, the driver windshield would not go up and down. They had to order a part for that. I had to take it in again for that. Then the horn quit working. They had to order apart, and I had to take it in again for that. Throughout all of this, I told them the heat was not working properly. Three times I took it in for the heat problem and they said they couldn’t seem to find anything wrong. Sometimes it wouldn’t blow hot air all the way sometimes it wouldn’t even blow out hot air. Now the weather is warmer and I won’t be using the heat. But this is absolutely absurd! I had a 2013 Sonata and never had a single problem with it, not one. This is horrible. I have spent more time going in to have the car diagnosed wait for parts go in again. And a car is still not working right one year later. I was dealing with Cresmont Hyundai in Brunswick. Their attitude and service was awful. I would never recommend a car from them and I’m not sure I would ever recommend a Sonata again even though I loved my 2013 Sonata. My 2025 Sonata is a disaster and I hope that this goes to someone with authority that can read it and get in touch with me. My phone number is 330-607-3076. I would appreciate a general manager getting in touch with me about all these issues because this car is definitely a lemon. And I am still considering getting a lawyer and declaring it as such.

Third Sonata is NOT a charm

The day I bought my third Sonata in March 2025 the battery was dead and the dealer had to put in a new battery. In February 2026 I did not drive it for 10 days and the battery was dead. I brought it to the dealer and they said the battery is fine and it's normal parasitic drain. After taking it home I measured the daily voltage and it goes from 12.30 to 11.80 after 5 days of not running. I contacted the dealer and they said this is normal. I disagree. Second problem is it often dies immediately after starting. On the second attempt it always starts. This started during the summer of 2025. This only happens when outside air temps are warm. It happened to me 4 times this past weekend. I took it to the dealer last year at which time they replaced a valve, however it never fixed it. Over the winter I didn't have a problem, but now this spring it's dying a again. I told the dealer who asked me to take a video of it dying. I emailed him two videos, but haven't heard anything back. As I said this is my third Sonata. Would love to get these problems resolved.

My Hyundai

I love my car, but it didn't come with Spear tire which I didn't know until last week that I checked. Also the clock time didn't change automatically, and don't let me change it either. It says satellite clock. Sometimes my GPS doesn't connect to my phone,and I don't know why.

Average car, kinda sucks for a brand new car.

Its alright, features that would be good for daily use became picky and don’t work as fast as you think it should. Door unlock button doesn’t work immediately, has HIGH RPM when accelerating, and jerks forward while accelerating as well. Just over 5000 miles and it already seems like it’s driving rough. (Mostly only city driving, and max 2 hour highway driving maybe once or twice a month).

A Sharp Ride

I am very pleased with my 2025 Hyundai Sonata. It is a great stylish design for a mid-sized car. I am still getting compliments on it. I'm a low mileage driver and get my money's worth out of a tank of gas. I would highly recommend Hyundai for value, reliability and style.

Vehicle seems delicately built. Transmission is hit or miss.In the long run not a vehicle I wanted to hold onto for very long especially with all of the denials for trans. And engi e failures that others ha e experien ed and Hyundai doesn't want to honor their own warranty.

I enjoy my new car, the ride is refined and smooth, abundant creature comfort and great body styling. The car does reply to owner needs and responds quickly although the backup feature that avoids rear collision is set too high as it slams on the breaks while I'm backing out of a parking space in large parking lot when it detects a car on the street 25 feet away.

side mirrors

I only have one recommendation for improving the Sonata. Side mirrors should be a little larger to help viewing lane traffic on highways. Otherwise, very nice ride in so many categories!
