Spectacular Sonata

I have really enjoyed my 2024 Sonata Hybrid. It is very comfortable to drive and provides a smooth ride. I love the Apple Car Play and the convenience of the controls. The phone charger is a life saver. I do wish there was a USB connection as well. The dashboard is amazing. There are so many features which I haven’t figured out yet. The best part is that I go to the gas station every 3-4 weeks! I got 47mpg on a recent long trip. This is my second Sonata. After test driving other sedans, the Sonata was still the best. I love this car!

Our First Experience With Hyundai Ownership

14 months and 5500 miles into ownership and my wife and I still struggle to master the technology incorporated into a simple task. The infotainment system is the biggest downfall of this car. Something that should be so simple is so very complex, frustrating and inconsistent. I never know what screen is going to appear from day to day. Is it going to force me to stream from my smart phone or perhaps half the screen is a map while the other half is the radio. And which radio will I have? Sometimes we have a clock, and sometimes we don't have a clock. Please!!! Let me choose and don't choose for me!!! So much inconsistency which leads to having us scroll through menu after menu, pushing option after option just to get to SiriusXM. I have a 2021 Dodge Challenger GT AWD with a 9 speaker Alpine and Technology package. "THIS" - Hyundai is how it's done. My Dodge Challenger lets me choose what I want. What to listen to and doesn't pick and choose for me. Do yourself a favor and rent a Chrysler product with a premium UConnect infotainment system and learn. All of your cameras and wizardry are meaningless when customers are driving distracted because they are busy scrolling through endless menus trying to find simple basic functions. My wife simply gives up and whatever in on, is what she listens to. Not me. I still fight it in hopes to get lucky that I have a clock, no map and a basic radio, however basic it may be. The car does drive well, gets great gas milage, we both love the heads-up display along with the lane keep assist and driver assist features. I miss not having a home-link garage door opener which should have come with a car of this caliber. The paint quality is also a little sub-par and have had paint work done to correct bubbling around the right rear side light pocket. This was covered under warranty. We also had an immobilization malfunction which totally immobilized the car. This took more than 3 weeks for the dealer to figure out and repair. Overall, other than the frustrating infotainment system, has been a good car.

Great Vehicle Poor execution

I have had this vehicle for a year. The car is great, gets amazing gas mileage, and I love the speaker system. However, recently it broke down on me leaving me stranded. I had to pay for a tow back to my house, then the dealership got it towed to them. I haven't heard anything back on the vehicle yet... I hope it's not going to be forever to get the car back. I need it for work.

Love this car except has no power mirrors

I’ve enjoyed this car from day one. It does not get the gas mileage as shown on the window sticker at all. The best I get is 41 miles per gallon. The dealership tells me that’s normal. More town driving means more battery use which increases your miles per gallon. I drive half the time in town and half the time on the highway. Is my title says the car has everything except remote folding side mirrors which it should.
