Poor performance

After owning a 100% problem free 2013 Hyundai Sonata hybrid, I purchased a 2023 Sonata hybrid that was in the shop within a week. The car then was back and forth in the shop for some kind of repair for over 70 nights in a 10 moth period. Neither the dealership nor the corporate group ever offer to do anything to help. On the last problem, when a part just fell off the car while I was out of town, I just sold it and bought a different model from a different dealer. I HAVE HAD NO PROBLEM AT ALL WITH IT!

My 23 Sonata Hybrid

Overall the car is nice. I have had a lot of compliments regarding the styling. The car has, as far as I know, every tech accessory on it that's available. That being said, many of them I don't use either because it's difficult when driving or the car simply won't let you use them while driving. The car performs well and the mpg is acceptable. I have not noticed any problems with the fit or finish other than with the weather tech type floormats. I can't secure the driver's mat. The owners manual says with the hybrid there is a lag when accelerating which having had a turbo previously is reminiscent to turbo lag and that is my biggest beef. I have only had the car for 13 and a half months (9659 miles), so a long term review cannot be given.

Surprisingly great value

I explored the Hyundai sonata hybrid, because of the features it had and the sticker price. Compared to my car it had more features and at a sharply reduced sticker price and longer warranty. It also had the 3 year maintenance package. A good choice, so far.

Great vehicle

Elegant and reliable car. Is has excellent security systems. There are, however, some issues with electronic features and difficult to update the system. The hybrid version is low on gas consuming, yet powerful.

Great

We have a 2023 hybrid sonata...6500 miles today and never had an oil change. Told to wait to 7500 miles but we are retired, travel w/truck and camper, had illnesses and want to be sure all okay as lower milage than normal.

Good looking vehicle. Reliable great fuel economy.. very comfortable

There’s not a better automobile out there for under $65,000. The vehicle has an excellent appearance. The Sonata gets 45 miles a gallon.. excellent Soundsystem. every safety feature.. wide spot assist, advanced cruise control. Automobile has great visibility.

Quiet, Fast, smooth, 50mpg average

I bought this car exclusively to use for Uber everybody that gets in it comments on it how smooth and how spacious it is I now have almost 60,000 miles and it has ran flawlessly. Very happy with his car.

Great car with great features! Drives exceptionally. Pure enjoyment! Enjoying this car greatly!!! My wife has a Mercedes and it's very nice but my car is equally as nice for a lot less money. My Sonata is extremely comfortable and relaxing. Getting ready to drive with it from Greensburg, Pennsylvania to Florida tomorrow.

The car gets fuel mileage, and the safety features are very good.

The cars drive very well and the safety features are very good and we get good mileage with the car. On long trips, I enjoy the controls to keep your car in the center of the road. And the best thing about it it has a lot of safety features on it to keep you from hitting pedestrians are backing into somebody or crashing ahead.

Dependable, feature filled Hybrid with very good mileage

This is my second Hyundai Sonata Hybrid and I only traded the first in due to mileage / warranty near expiration. The vehicle is dependable and provides a comfortable and economic drive. I use it for long drives and I find it the perfect blend of gas and electric use.

Disappointed

This is my second Hyundai sonata hybrid. I traded a 2021 sonata.hybrid for a 2023. I loved my 2021 but the Hyundai Sonata 2023 has a mind of its own. It’s constantly changing my dashboard setting and my dashboard lights. Brought it to the dealership and they said it was normal because they could not find what the problem was.Hmmm. Acceleration seems to be a problem as well. Sounds like it has a hard time shifting gears. Gas mileage is definitely not what I got with my 2021 Hyundai Sonata. Hybrid. Now I understand why their warranty is so extensive compared to other dealerships.

My 2023 Hyundai Sonata limited Hybrid

Purchased in August 2023 as a possible replacement for my 2020 tesla model 3 awd. The tesla was great fun but charge after 4.5 years went from 321 to 294. Hyundai was a decent price for the value of the car. I gave up alot of performance but the Hyundai is a very nice car inside and out. I put an android auto dangle in it and run waze. Works well. If you are looking for a stylish family car that gets up to 49 mpg the Hyundai sonata hybrid limited is the one for you

Great Car and Good Value for the money

Bad build quality and extremely terrible customer support from dealer.

Acceleration problem is a very serious safety issue with the car and they could not duplicate or find the problem until I took their mechanic on a test drive and even then it took them weeks to determine a simple problem that I advised them was due to the transmission. The computer reset and lane departure problems can't be duplicated so they won't even address the problems. The car is very noise when driving uphill, the floor padding appears to be thin and therefore does not muffle or keep the noise out of the car.

I'd buy it again!

Eye-catching looks, great fuel economy, good power, very comfortable. Plenty of room for back seat passengers, more than adequate trunk space, interior materials are attractive and comfortable, owners manual is very informative on all the features.

Great value great gas millage

I have many cars and I drive a lot in the mountains in the winter. I have driven many front wheel drive cars mostly Cadilac’s and Volkswagen's this Sonata with 4 blizzak tires does really poor and I only drive my SUV in the mountains during the winter

Got a lemon

Car was in the shop for over a month in the first 8 monthes we owned it. Stranding us without car 60 miles from dealer. Replaced injectors then a month later fuel pump. Manager at dealer acted as if this was the norm for new cars. Will not buy from them or Hyundai again.

I love my car. It has a ton of great features. It is very comfortable and gets fantastic gas mileage. I have owned a Hyundai since 2007 and I can’t imagine buying a different brand. My mother, brother, and sister all drive Hyundais as well

transmission problems

At 15000 miles car started to have hard shifting problems in city driving. The hard shifting at Highway driving car would shift hard and Hev Stop engine light would come on, causing me to have to pull over on the hwy to turn off engine.
