An experience so poor I will no longer consider Hyundai/Kia again

First ever brand new car purchase. The dealer experience itself was average. Unfortunately in this case we allowed convenience to win over research. The vehicle had issues within 12 hours of purchase. It drove home from the dealership fine, we parked it for the night. The next morning, only the driver door would unlock, the driver door panel controls for locks and window would not work, all the driver assist systems were showing a warning. The dealer picked up the vehicle, had it for two days then said everthing was OK. Issue repeated within 2 days. Dealer saw it happen in my driveway. Car was w/ the service department for over a month. We forced a buyback of the vehicle with my states lemon laws. The Dealer and Hyundai only offered a discount on a clearly untrustworthy vehicle. I love my 2026 Honda now, its perfect.

Best Value for the Money

I researched many SUVs before choosing the Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy Hybrid (just under $50K). It feels premium with Nappa leather, driver profiles, fingerprint start, panoramic sunroof, power seats, big screen, dual wireless chargers, and smooth, non-jerky driving. We love it! Only wish: a spare tire (missing on hybrid due to battery space).

Shaking New Car

Brand new car with a shake at higher speeds. This is a problem across the country. With Santa Fe’s and Palisades. Poor tire choice of Pirelli Scorpion tires. You only would know it’s a problem if you get the car up to 60. It’s a consistent shake. Nucar of North Kingstown, RI sales is lacking. The Service Director, Brian Renaud, and everyone under service is amazing! They have been working with us to correct the problem. They continue to check in and hope we’ve fixed the problem.

It’s good but…

The seatbelt placement could be improved Its tough to engage. No trunk space when all three rows are occupied so you always have to unload anything in the rear before using all three rows. Too much tech stuff it’s like trying to operate a smart phone while driving which is illegal in my state. The adjustment to mirrors and seat seem to always be off. But vehicle operates and handles well and very good mileage.

Constant issues with drained battery

I bought the vehicle a couple months ago and I have battle with battery issues , I have taken the car twice already to the service center due to a drained battery issue, it seems like something is draining the battery slowly until is completely drained. Last time I was told they factory reset a module that was causing the issue but it happened again last week. The car is still at the service center (2 days an counting) , hopefully it will get resolved quickly and for good this time.

This SUV is unbelievable! The size is just right for my wife and me. Even if we had 2 children it would still work out fine. Even the third row could handle a couple more passengers. The gas mileage is hard to believe. In town driving we average more than 35 mpg. On the road if you drive under 75 mph you can still average 34 to 35 mpg. The ride is smooth and quiet enough. We like all the options and would suggest going for the Calligraphy edition. We settled for the FWD with us not living in area that does not have much snow. The feature that allows you to move the vehicle even if you are not inside the drivers seat blows most people away. You can actually back out of a tight parking spot while standing next to the vehicle. All the controls are built into the key FOB. The mood lighting is nice too. The options just keep going on and on. You must go visit your local Hyundai dealer to see this vehicle in person.

Great vehicle

I would recommend for the most part. I feel very comfortable and love most of the amenities. I would like better storage for miscellaneous items such as sunglasses etc. I feel the storage and glove box are not efficiently organized to fit the necessities. I also don't like not having the option to preprogram a garage door opener or the gate to our living community. I also think the flat back is just hideous. I am embarrassed and try to back into park everywhere so people do not see the ugly rear.

overall great SUV, mileage, comfort and perfect size

Needs slight tweeks to have all the high tech work seamlessly (like apple car play). Nicer than my GenesisGV70 and beter gas mileage. Also not too big so esy to drive and maneuver. Plus 0% financing!

Love my new SUV

I love almost EVERYTHING about my new Hyundai Santa Fe. My only small suggestion is improve the radio so it displays the band playing in the description. Oh, and also make a small trash can that can fit under the console.
